Independent examiner's report to The Gibberd Garden Trust. I report on the accounts of the trust for the period ended 31st March 2025, which are set out on pages 3 to 5. Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts; you consider that the audit requirement of s43 (2) of the Charity's Act 1993 (the Act) does not apply. It is my responsibility to state, on the basis of procedures specified in the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners under s43 (7)(b) of the Act, whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of independent examinerfs report My examination was carried out in accordan with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and the seeking of explanations from you as trustees Conrning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the eviden that would be required in an audit and, consequenuy, I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts. Independent examinerfs statement In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention: 1. which gives me reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the requirements: a. to keep accounting records in accordance with s41 of the Act; and b. to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and to comply with the accounting requirements of the Act have not been met", or 2. to which. in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached. Notes to the Accounts 1. Fixed Assets Sculptures This contains in the brought forward balance the cost of the piece "Table Carved Wood 1970- 73" by the artist Fred Watson. This item was donated to the Gibberd Garden Trust on a long-term loan basis. As the Gibberd Garden will insure and maintain we have continued to treat the asset as being owned in the accounts. 2. Grants These include the following grants that were for specific purposes: £3,000 from a Harlow Council Partnership grant towards the cost of an administratorlco-ordinator.
