OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

Objectives, strategies and activities

The main activityof the schoolis to teach children the Greek Language,educate them in the Greek Orthodoxreligion and the history and  culture
of the Hellenes.
TheprincipleobjectivesoftheschoolaretohelpandeducateyoungpeoplefromtheLondonBoroughofBarnetandelsewheretoteach the
Greeklanguageandculturethroughrecreationandleisuretimeactivitiessoastodeveloptheirphysical,mentalandspiritualcapacities that
they may grow to full maturityas individualsand members of societyby providingor assistingin the provisionof facilitiesand equipmentat the
Hellenic School of High Barnet which would not be provided by local authorities.

Public benefit

Thetrusteesconfirmthattheyhavecompliedwiththerequirementsofsection17oftheCharitiesAct2011tohavedueregardtothe public
benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission for England and Wales.

Use of volunteers and donations in kind

The Charityreceivesassistancein the form of voluntaryhelp from variousindividuals.Donationsin kind are includedin the financial statements
whenever it is practical to value the gift.

Achievements and performance

The schoolsModernGreekGCSEand A levelsresultscontinuedto showa veryhigh standardof achievement,whichmakesthe Hellenic school
of High Barnet one of the top independent Greek schools.

Financial review

The financial statements show a net profit for the year on School activities of £4,845  (Net loss 2024: £7,446).

Nature of governing document

TheCharityisaRegisteredCharity,(number1053527)andaCompanyLimitedbyGuarantee(number03132566),Thecompany was
incorporatedon30November1995andregisteredwiththeCharitiesCommissionon8March1996.Thegoverningdocumentsofthe Charity
are its constitution, as well as the Memorandum and Articles of Association.

Recruitment and appointment of trustees

Trustees are elected annually and are parents of children attending the school.

Thetrustees(whoarealsothedirectorsofTheHellenicSchoolofHighBarnetLimitedforthepurposesofcompanylaw)areresponsible for
preparing the trustees'report and the financialstatementsin accordancewith applicablelaw and United Kingdom AccountingStandards (United
KingdomGenerallyAcceptedAccountingPractice),includingFRS102"TheFinancialReportingStandardapplicableintheUKandRepublic of
Ireland".
Companylawrequiresthetrusteestopreparefinancialstatementsforeachfinancialyear.Undercompanylawthetrusteesmustnot approve
the financialstatementsunlessthey are satisfiedthat they give a true and fair viewof the stateof affairsof the charitablecompanyand of the
incomingresourcesand applicationof resources,includingits incomeand expenditure,of the charitablecompanyforthatperiod.In preparing
these financial statements, the trustees are required to:
- select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently;
-statewhetherapplicableaccountingstandards,comprisingFRS102havebeenfollowed,subjecttoanymaterialdeparturesdisclosed and
explained in the financial statements; and
- preparethe financialstatementson the going concernbasis unless it is inappropriateto presumethat the charitablecompanywill continue in
business.
The trustees are responsiblefor keeping proper accountingrecordsthat can disclosewith reasonableaccuracyat any time the financial position
ofthecharitablecompanyandenablethemtoensurethatthefinancialstatementscomplywiththeCompaniesAct2006.Theyare also
responsibleforsafeguardingtheassetsofthecharitablecompanyandhencefortakingreasonablestepsforthepreventionanddetection of
fraud and other irregularities.
The trusteesare responsiblefor the maintenanceand integrityof the corporateand financialinformationincludedon the charitable company's
website. Legislation governing the preparation and dissemination of financial statements may differ from legislation in other jurisdictions.
This report has been prepared in accordance with the special provisions of Part 15 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

Independent examiner's report to the trustees of The Hellenic School of High Barnet Limited ('the Company')

I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Company for the year ended 31 August 2025.

Responsibilities and basis of report

As the charity'strusteesof the Company(and also its directorsfor the purposesof companylaw) you are responsiblefor the preparationof the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 ('the 2006 Act').
HavingsatisfiedmyselfthattheaccountsoftheCompanyarenotrequiredtobeauditedunderPart16ofthe2006Actandareeligible for
independentexamination,I reportin respectof my examinationof your charity'saccountsas carriedout under Section145 of the Charities Act
2011 ('the 2011 Act').In carryingout my examinationI have followedthe Directionsgiven by the Charity Commissionunder Section 145(5) (b)  of
the 2011 Act.

Independent examiner's statement

I have completedmy examination.I confirmthat no mattershave come to my attentionin connectionwith the examinationgiving me cause to
believe:

1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Company as required by Section 386 of the 2006 Act; or

2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or

3. the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of Section 396 of the 2006 Act other than any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination; or

4. the accounts have not been prepared in accordance with the methods and principles of the Statement of Recommended Practice for accounting and reporting by charities (applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102)).

1. CHARITY STATUS

The charityis a privatecompanylimitedby guarantee,incorporatedin England,and consequentlydoes not have share capital.Each of
the trustees is liable to contribute an amount not exceeding £1 towards the assets of  the charity in the event of liquidation.

2. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements

The financialstatementsof the charitablecompany,whichis a publicbenefitentityunder FRS 102,have been preparedin  accordance
withthe CharitiesSORP(FRS 102)'Accountingand Reportingby Charities:Statementof RecommendedPracticeapplicableto  charities
preparingtheiraccountsinaccordancewiththeFinancialReportingStandardapplicableintheUKandRepublicofIreland(FRS 102)
(effective1January2019)',FinancialReportingStandard102'TheFinancialReportingStandardapplicableintheUKandRepublic of
Ireland' and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.
The accounts are prepared in the company's functional currency of British Pounds (£) and rounded to the nearest £1.

Financial reporting standard 102 - reduced disclosure exemptions

Thecharitablecompanyhastakenadvantageofthefollowingdisclosureexemptioninpreparingthesefinancialstatements, as
permitted by FRS 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland':

Going concern

Thetrusteesconsiderthattherearenomaterialuncertaintiesaboutthecharity'sabilitytocontinueasagoingconcernnor any
significant areas of uncertainty that affect the carrying value of assets held by the charity.

Income and endowments

Income is included in the Statement of Financial Activities (SoFA) when the charity has received the income.

Expenditure

Allexpenditureisrecognisedoncethereisa legalorconstructiveobligationtothatexpenditure,itisprobablesettlementis required
and the amountcan be measuredreliably.All costsare allocatedto the applicableexpenditureheadingthat aggregatesimilarcosts to
that category.Where costscannotbe directlyattributedto particularheadingsthey have been allocatedon a basis consistentwith the
use of resources,with centralstaffcostsallocatedon the basis of time spent,and depreciationchargesallocatedon the portionof the
asset's use. Other support costs are
allocated based on the spread of staff costs.

Intangible assets

IntangibleassetsarestatedintheBalanceSheetatcostlessaccumulatedamortisationandimpairment.Theyareamortisedon a
straight line basis over their estimated useful lives.

Tangible fixed assets

Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life less residual value.
 Fixtures and fittings - 20% reducing balance
 Website development costs - 20% on cost

Stocks

Stocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow moving items.
Stockis valuedat the lowerofcostand estimatedsellingpricelesscoststo completeand sell,afterdue regardforobsoleteand slow
moving stocks. Cost is determined using the first-in, first-out (FIFO).

Taxation

ThecharityisconsideredtopassthetestssetoutinParagraph1Schedule6oftheFinanceAct2010andthereforeitmeets the
definitionofacharitablecompanyforUKcorporationtaxpurposes.Accordingly,thecharityispotentiallyexemptfromtaxation in
respectof incomeor capitalgainsreceivedwithincategoriescoveredby Chapter3 Part11 of the CorporationTax Act 2010 or Section
256oftheTaxationofChargeableGainsAct1992,totheextentthatsuchincomeorgainsareappliedexclusivelyto charitable
purposes.

Fund structure

Unrestrictedincomefunds are generalfunds that are availablefor use at the trusteesdiscretionin furtheranceof the objectivesof the
charity.

Trade debtors

Debtorswithnostatedinterestrateandreceivablewithinoneyeararerecordedattransactionprice.Anylossesarising from
impairment are recognised in the profit and loss account in other administrative expenses.

Cash and cash equivalents

Cashandcashequivalentscomprisecashonhandandcalldeposits,andothershort-termhighlyliquidinvestmentsthatare readily
convertible to a known amount of cash and are subject to an insignificant risk of change in value.

Trade creditors

Creditorswithnostatedinterestrateandpayableswithinoneyeararerecordedattransactionprice.Anylossesarising from
impairment are recognised in the profit and loss account in other administrative expenses.
