Trustees Annual Report 2022
Gravesham Sports Trust continues to meet on a regular basis to review the management and up keep of the Astro Turf Pitch in the Borough of Gravesham.
The pitch continues to be hired out to a variety of different users, including the three ‘home’ hockey clubs, the local Grammar school, numerous football clubs (for training purposes) and also for community events and one off uses.
Following the removal of Covid restrictions, bookings for the pitch have returned to pre-covid levels and we have welcomed back old hirers complemented with some new hirers. Our financials remain strong for a non-profit organisation and we continue to look at new ways of enhancing the quality of the pitch offering with various infrastructure initiatives such as the replacement of the old Halogen lights with LED lights and spectator benches.
