Activities
The Society promotes the study of garden history through the publication of a journal, 'Garden History' and an annual conference, lectures, seminars and visits. The Society promotes the protection and conservation of historic parks, gardens and designed landscapes through a Conservation Committee and a team of Conservation Officers.
Objects: (The Objects Of The Charity (The “Objects”) Are For The Public Benefit:- 3.1.1 To Promote The Study Of The History Of Gardens And Gardening, Landscape Gardening And Horticulture In All Its Aspects; 3.1.2 To Promote The Protection And Conservation Of Historic Parks Gardens And Designed Landscapes And To Promote And Advise On Their Conservation; 3.1.3 To Promote Cgts And Through Them, Education, Appreciation And Involvement Of The Public In Matters Connected With The Arts And Sciences Of Garden Land; And 3.1.4 To Encourage The Creation Of New Parks, Gardens And Designed Landscape.
