Objectives and Activities The objects of the tharity are the relief of poverty. the advancement of heatth, educatson and training and th8 advancement of the Christian religion wthin the Republic of Romania by the provision and distribution of medical and other aid and supporting and Èncouraging Christs'an Churches. Operation Romania Trust (ORT) is a local charitsble trust based in the South of Engla￿1. The Trustees VKJrf( with and support a team in Oradea, which is in nothwest Romania near the Hungarian border. This team is known as Alfa & Omega (A&OI and has five members. The team in Romania also %w)rk with a tean from the Netherlands. Trustees The Trustees are appointed in accordance Viith the De8d of Trust and those holding office dunng the year are listed above. We welcomed Mrs Loma Sivyour to the team at our meeting ￿ 21 st October 2025. The Trustees met 5 times during the year 2025. Risks The Trustees have assess8d the major risks to which the tharty is exposed. in particular those related to the operatsons and finances of the chanty. and are satiSf￿d that systans and procedures are in place to mitigate exposure to those risks. Future of the Trust Over the past few years. we have seen a dedine in support fr(xn variws Sou￿$.. the loss of contributions from a major donor, income from legacies. and the reductton of SUPFK)rt for wr sponsorship schem8. Although we welcomed Mrs Srvyour to ORT. it is proving difficult to attract others to become Trustees. In consultation ¥wth the team in Oradea. we have decided to close Operntion Romania Trust before the end of 2026. Plans will be p￿pared to facilitate this. Reserves policy The Trustees, policy is to hold in reserves a minimum of 4 months averdge operational expenditure plus designated amounts for known projects for the reporb'NJ year. Fund Raising ORT had another successful Coffee Moming at one of the k)cal thurthes For many supporters it is an opportunity to hear more of the work and meet the Trustees. We also maintain a Child Sponsorship Scheme. mainly fvnded by standing orders. Financial Review Thè Trust is grateful to its many supw)rt8rs vlho hav8 given b.me and morEy to the ongoing y￿rk in Romania. The current sOu￿S of fijnding are. The mon8y expended during the year amounted to £39,199 (2024.. £44.958). 2026 Budget In order to part offset the loss of income from a major donor. we plan to use addrtional ￿x)urceS from the general fund, to meet operational costs in Romania (mainly salaries). As in previous years, families received money for transp3rt to arKI from sth¢)ol. 8 students were supported throughout the year Medicines purchased for 3 families. Report from Romania The followng is a precis of the report frc(n the leader of the v•)rk in Romania. It covers the children's camp, a lady's retreat, and provision of a new home. As in past years, at the eNI of the week we had a special time b%then the thildren could Sha￿ their talents - singing, ath.ng in fvnny sketches, and other activits'es. They had a great b.me wth games and ath"vities. They especially loved playing football. ping pong, volleyball. and other fun games. The weather was perfect not too hot. not tco cold - so they could play outside a lot We also took trips to the waterfall arKI other pla￿S near Ihe camp. Another thing that really encoUra￿d us this Keek was that every child told us every day how good the food was and how much Ihey liked it. Even though they Y￿re young children. they ate a lot, and this show8d us that many of them are missing good meals at home. The weeks ended too quickly for them, and many cried as they said goodbye. v￿ thank God for a wonderful time - and also for one young leader wtr￿ prayed and deaded to give his lrfe into God's hands. Thatwas v8ry SP8cial. We are very grateful to all of you who supported this project financially. Because of your generoslty, these children had another chance to enjoy time away from their struggles and experience Joy> rest, and God's love. These weeks may seem short but we have already seen the impact th8y made in the liv8s of the chlldrnn. 2 A New Home Many different aspects of the work y￿re happening thfoughoLrt the year and there are many stories of help and support given lo so many people. One story is of a lady b%tho living. wth her family, in an old house, a structur8 so fragile it was on the verge of collapse. The mother dreamt of the day she could finally leave behind the fear that every wnter and rainfall brings - and live safely and pea￿fUllY in a secure. wam home the family. The fafflily are now enjoying their new house. Thank you to thg many people WI￿ helped prath'cally and financially. 3 Ladles Retreat As vRre visits'ng sponsored famili8s many ladies were askirvJ rf ￿ (x)uld organize a weekend time away for women again. As always, it is a moment of encourdg8m8n( relax and get strengthen in faith by otherfs testimonies. One lady, who had her life under so much p￿ssure. told us that she feels she vK)uld just run away from home and from this life She, herself had breast C2ncer. Her husband has diabetes also bo￿1 canc8r. Her son has also cancer in a very critical way. There is so much suffering goir@ in her life and she couldn't stop talking and thanking us for being able to flee home and have this time of rest both mentally and physically. It is very hard to describe all the positiv8 feedback we had from all Ihese ladi8s and not only their grats'tude and jo￿. Communications During the year ORT produced 2 Update Newsletters for our supporters~ thurches and iTrJividuals. Arb'cles include. news of families and of indivKluals, s￿)e box distributson, help wth building a house, helping with medicines, weekend retreats. and the children's camps in the Bcga mountains. Each is a reminder of Ihe n￿d5 of families and individuals that we have been able to help.
