Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects:
This year 46 young people took part in the Easter production of The Wizard of Oz which was performed at the Milton Rooms, Malton from 27th - 30™ March. There were 6 performances attended by the public from Ryedale and the surrounding area.

In 2016 we were honoured to receive the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service, the highest award given to local groups across the UK to recognise outstanding work in the communities and is the equivalent to an MBE.
In April 2020 we were delighted to be recognised once again, as deserving the Duke of York's Community Initiative Award for our work in the community.
Brief statement of the charity's policy on reserves:
We aim to hold at least £8,000 and no more that £30,000 in reserves at the year end. This is to enable us to make a start on our next production, ie obtain a licence, before we have received any income from other sources.

| report on the accounts of Ryedale Youth Theatre for the year ended 30 June 2024.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity’s trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. | have carried out an independent examination of the accounts in accordance with Section 145 of the Charities Act 2011. My examination was conducted in accordance with the general directions given by the Charity Commission under that section.
An independent examination includes a reviewof the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning such matters.
The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently| do not express an audit opinion on the accounts.
Independent examiner’s statement
In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
-
which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect:
-
accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act 2011; or
-
the accounts do not accord with those records; or
-
to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
