Objectives and aetivities The charlty's main activities BHI is a community Engagement Organisation which works to supply equality of access to health and social Lare provisions wilhiii Leeds, the Yorkshire Region and nalionally for disadvantaged and Irjarginalised and marginalised communities. Bl-11 runs projects undcr the uinbrella of Flealth and Wellbeing: Teena e Health an Wellbein is a project that aims to keep young people up to date with inforination aboul their healih. We enga&Fe and motivate our service users regarding education and work wilh them to develop healthy lifestyle choices. These programmes are broken down into four main areas which are social, emotional, educational and physical health. Men's Health and W ein ro ect provides physiologjical, psychological and practical support to predominantly African, Caribbean and Dual-Herilagye men who suffer froin the eft'ccts of social, cultiirul or Atrican envoirnment factors that have R specific impact on men's emotional and physical well-being. Women's Flealth and Well-bcin encourages women to cominunicate with each other about health issues that affect them, support the development of health focussed aciivities with the aim to raisc sclf csteein, ¢ncouragc participation in making informed decisions about their health treatments and improve women's health and well being citywide. CoLinsel lin and MentAI Health Wellbein which works with UKCP and BACP coiinsellor/p8ychotherapy specialists trainL'd specifically to work with the African, African Caribbean and Dual Heritage client g7roup. We strong7ly believe that carly intervention addrcsses the psychological and emotional difficulties peoples are experiencing and may reduce the risk of later mental health issues/crises occurring.
