North Yorkshire, Y07 1 HB onstitution of the Fund The Charity is constituted by Trust Deed. is unincorporated, and was registered wilh the Charity Commission on 27 September 1995 to take advantage of the allowances and taxation exemption afforded by registration. The Fund has been in existence for many years principally to separate, and keep quite distinct, the accounting process of the Local Authority's delegated budget and associated transactions from other school income, generated from incidental activities for fund-raising purposes and, up to the introduction of Consistent Finance Reporting, as a vehicle to administer pupil prepayments for trips and visits. and provide certain facilities and assistance to pupils. In addition other Govemors" private funds, as distinct from local authority delegated budget. such as pupil clubs and funds raised from the school charity activities are a150 included. Administration and Trustee selection The fund is administered by the School Govemors who held office during the year, arKI are the Trustees. The day to day management is delegated to the sthool Bursar who reports to the Head Teacher. Objectives and activities ect of the fund The object of the fund is to advance the education of the pupils in the school by providing or assisting the provision of educational, recreational and other charitable facilities in augmentation of the such facilities fInand by the Local Authority. Activities undertaken to meet the ob'ectives of the fund In planning the activities of the fund during the year the Trustees have had regard to Charities Commission guidance conceming public benefit. Anhi#iiam•n+¢ snA n•rfnrman*ts During the year the School Fund met, either in full, or in part, Ihe cost of trips for students who were unable to meet these costs themselves, and would therefore otherwise have been unable to have attended the trip. The fund also purchased resources for Music. Financial rnviow Method of 8ccountin The Charities Act 1993 (as amended by the Charities Act in 2011) and Statement of Recommended Practice (SORPS) recommends the formalising of account reporting and the attached accounts represent a format in accordance, as far as is practically possible, with those guidelines. The school has adopted the guidelines associated with accounting for the smaller ch8ritv on a reoIS and Davments basis. Results for the ear The school fund is in a healthy situation with a balance al the year end of £25,214 (2024 - £33.554). D8POSlts and prepayments reIved for non-curricular tripsfvisils are not included as receipts and payments of the charity, as the school collects pupil prepayments for handing over to the serrfice providers. It should be noted that Trustees have the discretion to allocate all or part of the unrestrided funds of £20,374 (2024 - £18,362) to augment the Local Authority budget. Any balance not so allocated will be considered by the Headteacher in the future for essential expenditure as necessary. The remaining fund balances of £4.840 (2024 - £15,192) are restricted in thair use. Responslbilltles and basis of report As the charily trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 {'Ihe Act). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under Section 145(5)(b) of the Act. Independent Examinerfs Statement I have completed my examination.
