Reserves policy

It is the policy of the PTFA that unrestricted funds which have not been designated for a specific use should be maintained at a level equivalent to typical 12-month expenditure. The trustees consider that reserves at this level will ensure that, in the event of a significant drop in funding, they will be able to continue the trust’s current activities while consideration is given to ways in which additional funds may be raised. The trustees note however, that due to the nature of the expenditure, the PTFA can reduce expenditure on activities if required. This level of reserves has been maintained throughout the year.

Financial summary

Income for the year was £28,518 (2024: £24,363), from a combination of annual kitty contributions by parents and fundraising eUorts to raise money for the PTFA’s activities. Expenditure was £29,793 (2024: £23,402).
