To make Yorkshire and Humber a safer place to live, work and invest by reducing crime, helping communities and assisting with regeneration.
Objects: To Promote For The Public Benefit In And Around The Yorkshire And Humber Police Force Area The Protection Of People And Property From, And The Prevention Of, Criminal Acts - In Particular By(i) The Establishment Of Or Assisting In The Establishment Of Individual Crime Prevention Schemes And Other Such Schemes Or Initiatives Having As Their Prime Or Main Purpose The Prevention And/or Attenuation Of The Commission Of Crimes(ii) The Education And Training Of The Public In General And Special Interest Groups In Matters Of Crime Prevention And The Protection Of Property And Of Persons Against Crime And Through Such Education And Training Or Otherwise The Encouragement Of Greater Public Participation In The Prevention And Solution Of Crime(iii) Carrying Out Research Into Techniques In Regional Crime Prevention And Publishing The Results Of Such Useful Research And Assisting In Or The Provision Of Support For Any Scheme For Research Promoted By Others Having These Objectives(iv) The Protection And Preservation Of The Health Of All People And In Particular Young People Who Are In Danger Of Becoming Addicted To Or Dependent Upon Drugs Of Any Description Alcohol Solvents And Other Addictive Substances(v) The Provision In The Interests Of Social Welfare Of Recreational Activities For Young People And In Particular Those People At Risk Of Offending Against The Law With The Object Of Improving Their Conditions Of Life
