Constitution. The constitution of Crofton Junior School Parent Teacher Association was adopted on 3/10/95 and amended 1/10/96.

The Charity is constituted as an Association. How the charity is constituted 

(eg. trust, association, company) 

Under the Constitution as amended the Committee shall comprise of a Trustee selection methods President, Chair, Secretary and Treasurer together with up to twenty-five (eg. appointed by, elected by) other members of the Committee (to include additional officers appointed). In addition, the President may nominate up to two members of the teaching staff and the Governing Body may nominate one Governor Representative Representative to serve as members of the Committee. 

The Committee shall be elected at the AGM and shall hold office until the next AGM. The President shall be an ex-officio member of the Committee not required to offer himself/herself for re-election by General Meeting. Nominations for election to the Committee may be made by one member and seconded by another. The Trustees of the Association shall be from the President, Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer as elected by the Annual General Meeting. 

## **Section C                    Objectives and activities** 

The object of the Association is to advance the education of pupils in the School in particular to:

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)** 

   - develop more extended relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the School 

   - engage in activities which support the School and advance the education of pupils attending it. 

- Provide and assist in the provision of such facilities or items for education at the School (not provided from statutory funds) as the Committee in consultation with the Governing body shall from time to time determine. The Association shall be non-party political and non-sectarian 

- The Trustees confirm that they have referred to the guidance contained in the Charity Commission’s general guidance on public benefit when reviewing the Association’s aims and objectives and in planning future activities. 

Crofton Junior School Parent Teacher Association is a group of parents and staff volunteers. This group raises money for the school by running a varied programme of events throughout the school year. 

The Crofton Junior School Parent Teacher Association holds regular committee meeting where staff, parents and others associated with the School are always welcome to participate.

Section D                      Achievements and erformance p As UK came out of the covid pandemic, this year PTA could carry out **Summary of the main** many of the fund-raising activities,  that included Christmas raffle, Santa **achievements of the charity** dash, Christmas card project, Spook sale, Comedy night, Dougies and **during the year** Pizza night, Mother’s day gift shop , Father’s day gift shop, Fun Friday. This year the PTA enrolled with Your school lottery and continued with Amazon Smile to get charity funds on eligible purchases. The PTA run uniform shop also provided a steady stream of income towards the fund throughout the year. PTA organised Queen’s jubilee event celebrations and the year ended with the Leavers party for the Year6 pupils. PTA’s own initiative Woodland project -Forest school took some shape this year with many enthusiastic Crofton families participating in the Sunday morning sessions. This will carry on throughout the new school year and beyond. Overall year 2021-22 was quiet successful in terms of fund raising and helping the school and the community.

I report on the accounts of the Charity for the year ended 31 August 2022, which are set out on
page5 01 to OS.

The charltys trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The chariws trustees
consider that an audit is not required for this year under se¢b"on 144121 of the Charities Act 2011 (the
2011 Act) and that an independent examination is r￿ded.
It is my responslbility to:

To follow the procedures lald down In the general Directions 8lven by the Charity
Commission under section 14515llbl of the 2011 Act
To state whether particular matters have come to my attentlon.

My examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions glven by the Charlty
Commlsslon. An examinatlon Includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charlty and a
comparlson of the accounts p￿sented with these records. It also indudes consideration of any
unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees
concerning any SLsch matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that
would be required in an audit and consequendy no opinlon 1$ given as to whether the accounts
present a "true and fair Vie￿ and the ￿pOrt is Ilmlied to those matters set out in the statement
below.
