Para 1.18 Weston Brass and its trustees have followed our constitution and been able to provide music (both as voluntary performances and paid performances) to enhance the musical experiences of the eneral ublic. Concerts were well received by the public and we again performed Christmas carolling and collections taken were able to also attract ift aid. Other Achievements and Performance SORP reference Weston Brass were able to perform in a variety of areas and also performed a joint concert with world renowned Brass Band Cory's principal comet player Tom Hutchinson. We also put a free workshop with Tom Hutchinson to encourage and support up and coming younger players. It was our 60th Anniversary year and our October concert reflected this for the band. We also started planning and fundraising for an international tour to take place in 2024. Financial Review Review of the charity's financial F)OSition at the end of the period Para 1.21 The accounts this year show a larger income due to collections form members to help fund the upcoming Belgium tour. The accounts have been independently checked in accordance with the bands constitution. A full report is given to the members at the AGM each ear. We hold some reserves for instrument repairs and hope to make a large purchase of a set of timpani in 2024. We also have some money in the account which is members advance payments for the forthcoming tour in 2024.
