ProvKling opportunities for encouraging doser co-operation between parents, staff, pupits, f0mr pupils, k>cal residents. local businesses and any other frEnds of the School. A¢hlevem•nts and Perfomiance DurirvJ th8 year, the FriwK18 have raised £38.IX)9 (£36.853 for 2023r24) from various activits. These funds have been used to provhle £1,659 (£1.558 for 2023124) to the library through the 100 Club and £11,0(KI (£26,180 for 2023124) in grarrts to support the Friends, objectives. Page2of5
Flnancial Revlew The annual accounts and a summary of the grants which have been apwoved during the year are set out in the Appendix. The accounts have been produced on a 'receipt and paymenf ba8 and have been ileperntIY examined. The Friends do n(rt hold any investments or specificldwnated reserves. The Friends operat8 on the basis of distn"buting funds received and so its outgo is always covered by prior income: there is therefore rKJ risk of a deficit arising duriry the ordinary course of activities. The principal sources of income for the year have been the sale of refreshments at school activities, the annual Christmas Market and con(xt8. Th8 following table summarises Ihe m4.or rth of which the Friends are exposed. together with the prowlures tsken to mitigate these.. The online bank accounts require Iwo levels of authorisation. The accounts are reviewed b an inde nd8nt examiner. The provisions are stored in a designated locked cupboard. Keyholders are restn'cted to Officers of the Friends and School officials. The Friends rely on the hor• of its volunteers during activities. A degree of insurance cover for stock and cash 18 in ace through the Friends, membershi of Parentkind. The Friends has a diverse membership from which it would be able to replace Officers. The Treasurer maintains a governance document setting out the processes related to all finanal activ1, as V11 as details of sswords and ke contarts at third anisation8. Public benefft arises from the support of education and welfare of pupils as well as the WKler opportunities for closer Cowoperation between parents, staff. pupils. fornr pupils, local residents, local businesses, as well as and any olher fnends of the School. Plans for Future Periods The Friends will help provKle funds to supp education and wetfare of pupils through fundraising adivities that are agreed with the School.
