Trustees annual report -- 1st January 2021 – 31[st] December 2021

Kingswinford Christian Fellowship

Kingswinford Christian Fellowship continues to be an expression of God's hands, feet and voice within our Church, Community and beyond with the aim of winning people to Christ, establishing them in the faith, discipling them and sending them into the world.

As part of this we are open to the community to use as a place for certain community activities and over the past year once covid restrictions were lifted we welcomed back both the Dudley Stroke association and High Flyers (a local support group for adults with SEN), Alongside this we have restarted our community singing outreach in the local marketplace

During Covid and the restrictions that came with it as a church our members assisted local charities and community programs (for example Dudley CVS) as well as our neighbours with acts of kindness such as helping with shopping and getting to appointments

The Ark (parent/toddler group) has restarted much to the joy of parents who have not been able to much and this area of the ministry is once again providing a support network to parents both new and experienced who have been struggling with isolation over the past several months

2021 also saw the appointment of our new Pastor (Rob Cooper) and new Safeguarding officers, alongside this we have started the process of updating the charity from its original model to a new CIO model, we anticipate this to take a while as we make sure everything is done correctly but we hope that by 2022 this will be resolved

With the appointment of a new Safeguarding officers and new members joining the church we will be planning a time to ensure that all DBS checks are up to date and training for those eligible

As can be seen in the financial report despite the disruption to regular services due to covid we are still operating on a secure financial footing, and we are looking to expand those that we support financially in the near future,

Kingswinford Christian Fellowship continues to operate in line with its founding principles and though we are entering a period of growth and change we intend to ensure that we continue to be a place of welcome for our members and the community at large for a long time to come

## **Independent Examiner’s Report on the Accounts**

## **Receipts and Payment Accounts**

## **Report to the trustees/members of Kingswinford Christian Centre**

## **Registered Charity Number 1052747**

## **On the accounts for the year ended 31[st] December 2021**

## **Set out on the following pages**

## **Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner**

The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity¹s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed.

It is my responsibility to: examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act; follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act; and state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

## **Basis of independent examiner’s report**

My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair view’ and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.

## **Independent examiner’s statement**

In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:

(1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements

- To keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the 2011 Act; and

- • To prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and to comply with the accounting requirements of the 2011 Act Have not been met; or

(2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
