Achievements and performance
SOU ee otheF cha ; grappled2020 waswitha yearthe COVID-19of unexpectepan d emicchallengeswhich hitforthetheUKChurchin earnestas wein during the year March 2020. Whilst the national restrictions had far reaching implications on the way we conducted our services, it also provided a great opportunity to demonstrate the vital importance of our local church within the community we live at times of real hardship and national emergency. From making contact with those suffering loneliness due to the isolation resulting from the restrictions on our freedom, to providing food packages to those in need as a result of reduced income, Now Church was able to demonstrate the love of Jesus at a time when it was needed the most. Sunday and midweek gatherings were immediately moved online at the start of the first lockdown enabling us to continue to connect until in person meetings were permitted again in the summer time. Whilst we had been continuing to meet in Worksop on Sundays in the Sparken Hill Academy school until March 2020, we have as yet been unable to return there due to the impact of Covid on the operation of the school building. Our building in Langold was therefore (and continues to be) a huge blessing to the Church as it naturally became our new base for most Church events.

Respective The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year responsibilities of (under section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the Act)) and that an trustees and examiner independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to
- e examine the accounts (under section 43 of the Act), e to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 43(7)(b) of the Act), and
- e to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
-
Basis of independent My examination was carried out in accordance with General Directions given examiner’s statement by the Charity Commissioners. -
Independent In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention (ether

-
e accounts are prepared which agree with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the Act; or
-
- to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
