The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed. ## It is my responsibility to: - e Examine the accounts (under section 145 of the 2011 Act; e To follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act; and - e State whether particular matters have come to my attention. ## Basis of independent examiner’s report My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. ||||| LAS Emmanuel Pentecostal Church Accounts 31.03.25 21/05/2025 ## Report of the Trustees of ## EMMANUEL PENTECOSTAL CHURCH ## For the year ended 31 March 2025 ## Administration Details Emmanuel Pentecostal Church is established by Trust Deed dated 2 February 2014 and is a registered charity, no 1052615. Additional working name is Emmanuel Church. The address is 2 Furlong Avenue, Arnold, Nottingham, NG5 7AP. ## Governance and Management The Trustees are responsible for making major decisions regarding the formulation and implementation of the charity’s aim and objectives and for the control of its finances and have met 6 (six) times during the year. Trustees holding office during the year were : Dorothy Bates appointed 7 May 2021 Valerie Faulconbridge appointed 6 September 2022 Siyanda Mkweli appointed 5 July 2022 The Management Trustees are also the Holding Trustees of the property. ## Objectives and Charitable Activities The objectives of the charity are : 1. To advance the Christian Faith 2. To relieve sickness and financial hardship and promote good health by provision of funds, goods or services 3. To advance education ## Activities and Achievements The Church has continued to interact with the community with a monthly leaflet drop and is actively involved with the community via coffee mornings, a monthly service in The Beeches Residential Home, children’s activities including the introduction of a ‘Lego Club’. There has been an increase of regular attendees at the Sunday Service and people embracing the Christian Faith. ## Missions Giving The missions giving for the year was £10,110.00, equating to 21% of our income. ## The Building The loft area has been insulated and a new UPVC fire door installed upstairs. The building remains in a good state of repair. ## The General Offerings The general offerings have increased from an average of £688 per week for the year ending 2024 to £728 for this financial year. An independent examination of the Accounts has been carried out by Luke Silver of Accountancy & Taxation Services.
