Objects of the Charity: The advancement of the Christian Religion by the proclamation and furtherance of the Gospel of God concerning His Son Jesus Christ the Lord and the preaching and teaching of the Word of God by the Church in accordance with the Statement of
Fundamental truths of the Assemblies of God in Great Britain and Ireland as approved by the General Council from time to time (the Statement).
Such other charitable purposes as shall further the attainment of the above objects of the Church or any of them.

The furtherance of other charitable work of the Church which is consistent with the Statement.

Following AOG guidelines the church is required to have at least three trustees at any one time, one of whom is the senior minister /Senior leader. When a vacancy occurs the senior minister /Leader shall nominate a potential new trustee deemed to have the relevant experience and commitment and the Church Council shall appoint this person. The charity is managed by a board of experienced trustees, who are responsible for ensuring financial stability and providing professional and strategic advice on policy and resource management. None of the trustees has any beneficial interest in the church.
We will be looking forward to nominating new trustees in 2024.
ALCC Family Church embraces social inclusion and aims to reflect the community it serves. We are a multigenerational, and multi-cultural Church and we welcome everyone. The Church works hard to create a culture where everyone can feel, valued, and accepted.
Thanks to all. The Trustees, church council, department leaders and volunteers who give their time freely to promote the work of God and the Gospel of Christ in our Fellowship and its ministries.
All the work at ALCC is conducted on a voluntary basis.
The Church leaders recognize that the volunteers and leaders of our many departments work extremely hard they care about our community and want to touch people lives with Gods love; they are so faithful and sacrifice their time and finances to do so. We appreciate them all and thank them for all their help without them the work would not be able go on. Alcc have no paid workers.
Public Beneft
When planning our activities we refer to the guidance contained in the Charity Commissions general guidance on public benefit and complied with the Charites Act when reviewing the aims and objectives prior to planning and developing activities, and particularly the specific guidance for the advancement of religion.
ALCC Family Church’s mandate is to outwork the Biblical principles of The Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20) and the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37- 39) through a resolute leadership team. We are
intentional about positively impacting our local community through the biblical principles of Fellowship, Worship, Discipleship, Pastoral Care and Outreach and Helps.
Governance and Management
The trustees and Church council are responsible for making the major decisions regarding the formulation and implementation of the charity’s aims and objectives, and for monitoring and controlling all its financial resources. To fulfil their role, the trustees and council members held six meetings during the year.
Main activities undertaken for the public beneft in relation to these objects this year were:
The needs of the community are great, many suffer with low self-worth, many have been in abusive relationships; many live-in poverties and we have many one parent families.
Counselling services are available at Alcc.
We have two qualified clinical and pastoral Counsellors available to the community at no costs. They are always in demand.
Mental health issues have increased , substance abuse is on the rampage (including drug and alcohol abuse), and many need our ongoing support.
We investigated and set up AA group , who now meet weekly at the church on a Tuesday night. We have waiting lists for this group
Girl, chat a group which meets bimonthly.
Where women can come along and share their problems and encourage one another over coffee and cake. Counselling is available if necessary.
Citizen’s advice Many of our contacts have financial issues, debt problems, cost of living problems. We now have an advisor who attends alongside the living Hope food bank on a Wednesday morning. They have been a great help to many
Dynamite Club 5-11 years old meet on Fridays at 6pm to 7.15pm school term only A special club just for Kids we realise that having a dynamic children’s work plays an important part in creating a place where everyone belongs. Children have fun together crafts, games, singing, football etc. We teach Christian principle, to care and respect each another and the community, to work together as a team. Our aim is to create a happy friendly and exciting place where kids can come along and have fun in a safe environment. Parents are invited to join us for coffee while the children enjoy their meeting. We are well established in our community and local school and have been running now for many years.
LIVING HOPE, we have a charity shop / food bank operating under the name of Living Hope. The Charity shop in Holmewood is open Monday to Friday and sell donated clothing and Bric-a Brac for the sole purpose of raising funds to buy ambient foods for the Food Bank, to redistribute to the needy in our Area the Food Banks is located at Abundant Life Christian Centre Holmewood.
Most service users are referred to us for various reasons by Job Centres, Social Services (All Departments) Schools, C.A.B. Mat Teams, Women’s Aid, Social Housing and some are so desperate they just turn up, as they are not able to provide for their children due to difficult circumstances that have arisen in their lives. a fantastic team of volunteers distributed thousands of parcels this year. They all worked selflessly they are amazing
MUNCHKINS meet on a Tuesday morning 9. 15 am to 11am school term only. the children can enjoy soft play, craft activities, stories, singing, music and movement and healthy snacks, whilst the mums catch up over coffee and cake. This is a beautiful place to meet other mums and to help, support and encourage each other. Very well attended We do not charge for this service.
Men Talk Breakfasts.
Met quarterly during the year. We are hoping to increase this next year.
They enjoy a full cooked breakfast, lots of laughter. After breakfast, there is an opportunity for a member of the church to share some of their journey with Christ, and a time of prayer and reflection. These meetings have been well attended with 25-30 consistently attending.
Intercessors/ soaking prayer Group
Meet twice a week Monday Friday
During this time, we spend time with God and pray for the requests made via our private prayer line which is confidential, and matters are dealt with discreetly as they arise.
Requests are from both Church members and non -church folk. it such a privilege to pray. for them all.
Pastoral Care Pastoral visits were made to as many people as were willing to access this service.
We have continued to support the work in Romania and the
orphanage in India Emmanuel has updated us by video calls and visits throughout the year, he brings encouraging updates about the work. Team Romania brought back a good and encouraging report. Its a pleasure to be involved in such a magnificent work.
The Church’s ministry has continued throughout the year with regular services of worship, preaching and teaching.
Alongside community-based efforts which have included messy church community barbeques, mothering Sunday, Family services, Sunday lunches, Pea Pie Supers firework display film nights parties and celebrations Christmas, Carol services, Christmas parties and buffet .
The trustees are delighted at the attendance at all the community focused events, and we are encouraged that we are now attempting to reach every age group in our Local Community.
The trustees confirm that they have paid due regard to Charity Commission guidance on public benefit in deciding what activities to undertake. Achievements
MEDIA USE AND COMMUNICATION The Church has embraced a change in culture and has developed a strategy for raising awareness of the Church and its purpose through modern media and technology.
Our recorded services go out on face book every Sunday.
We have many people watching our services on a regular basis which is very encouraging.

The Church has also embraced the use of social media, and the Church wants to make use of social networking sites. Our website has been given an overall this year
Child Protection and safeguarding of vulnerable In line with its responsibility for the above, all appropriate DBS checks have been reviewed in 2023 /4.
ALCC Church continued in its compliance with food safety standards.
Related Party Transactions No payments have been made to any trustee.
Membership
We are pleased to report that Membership this year, has increased in all departments We have seen an, increase in the numbers of people visiting the church with many becoming regular attenders and some of those becoming actively involved in leadership positions in the church.
Church Building
Future
We are looking to, re decorate some areas of the church.
The car park is a priority next year.
Reserves Policy
Income and Expenditure is monitored to ensure that reserves are at an acceptable level in accordance with the guidance of the Charity Commission.
The Trustees are committed to strategic development and succession - planning to ensure the long term future of the Church and Charity.
The Church Council is maintaining planning for the long-term future of the Church seeking to train, develop and introduce new leaders and volunteers drawn from the membership, whilst also committed to succession planning and the preparation for the recruitment of a full or part-time associate / leaders or a pastor at some future point.
This strategy is designed to provide natural succession and a contingency plan as the current leadership eventually retire.
To this end the church has welcomed Ben Allsop as an associate Leader at ALCC
And his input has already proved to be invaluable.
We are planning to recruit more new leaders in 2024/2025
STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES RESPONSIBLITES
Charity law requires the Trustees to prepare financial statements for each year fiscal year which give a true and fair view of the state of the affairs the charity and the surplus or deficit of the charity for that period. In preparing those financial statements they are required to:
Select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently; making judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent; prepare the financial statements on an ongoing concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in operation.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities Act 2011 and the governing document of the charity. They are also responsible for the safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for prevention of fraud and other irregularities.

As the charity trustee you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (the Act).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts conducted under section 145 of the Act and in conducting my examination I have followed all applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
