FAITH MISSIONS TRUST ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31ST JULY 2023

Faith Missions Trust is constituted by Deed of Trust and is a Registered Charity, number 1052233. Its address is at 21 Stowe Crescent, Ruislip, Middlesex, HA4 7SR. The Trustees of the Charity are:

Mrs Sylvia I.O. Scott Mrs Joy R. Clark Mrs R. Hayward

The Charity was set up in August 1995. The objects of the Charity can be summarised as follows:

In pursuit of the above, the Charity continued to sponsor and encourages a number of projects and individual workers overseas during the 12 month period.. This year another group of students were trained. Some were pastors who had come for a refresher course. The Mobile Medical Unit in India continues the help the poor and needy with medical care and help, along with their personnel. The Trust also supports the work of Inter-Mission in Mumbai (India) As well as these projects, we support an evangelical outreach in Uganda. Any of the Faith Missions Team are available to visit schools, churches and other groups in order to give talks and presentations on the work of the Trust.

Our Annual Celebration Meeting took place on 22" October 2022 Our speakers were Rev. Hany Abdelmasih who is the London Baptists’ Regional Minister for West London also Roger Hazelgrove spoke about his work as a Chaplin on the local waterways. Our worship was led by Mark Hayward from Portsmouth. We have a new venue now for our Celebration meetings which is Hillingdon Park Baptist Church.

The work of the Trust continued to be supported financially throughout the period. A large percentage of the support to FMT comes through Gift Aid donations. All the money received from supporters is guaranteed to go 100 % to their selected project. Our policy is to remove nothing for administration costs, which are covered entirely by donations specifically given for that purpose. More sponsors are currently needed so the work can continue and prosper.

There are no paid staff working for the Charity. There is a working team which regularly meets throughout the year to discuss the business of the charity and plan various fund raising events. There were no funding raising events this year. However, through the year many gladly gave their time and help freely whenever it was needed. The team produced another full-colour Newsletter for the Trust during the autumn of 2022. The Trust currently has a mailing list of approximately 200 persons.

Complied and examined by the current Trustees.

Independent Examiuer’s Report to the Trustees of Faith Missions Trust

I report on the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 31 July 2023, which are set out on pages 3 to 5.

Responsibilities and basis of report

As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’).

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

Independent examiner’s statement

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

  1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or

  2. the accounts do not accord with those records.

  3. The accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair view’ which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
