As a Church we have continued throughout the last twelve months for this report to hold our regular services, which on a weekly basis consist of a worship and communion service on a Sunday morning and a gospel service on the Sunday evening, with a prayer meeting on a Wednesday evening, where we not only pray for the needs of the local church, but also for our local community, national needs and world mission. Then on a Friday evening we hold a Bible Study evening.
We held a coffee morning every Wednesday morning (except during August and into the early part of September as a means of outreach to our local community, from the coffee mornings we raised funds for Macmillan cancer.
We also continued during this year to support a local food bank in the town of Gateshead, we had a harvest thanksgiving in October and all the produce was given to the foodbank.
We held a carol service and together with a carol service held in our building by St John Ambulance, we raised money for the Children’s Hospital at the RVI in Newcastle.
We still produce a regular video to send out to those who are unable to attend the Church fellowship, and the pastor still sends out a daily devotion for all who wish to receive it, a practise which was started at the beginning of the first Covid lockdown.
During September we lost one of our founding members who died at the age of 98.
Two were added to the makeup of our Trustees, Iain Cairns and Haydn Greenow.
