The first part of the year covered in this annual report was still affected by limitations owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, which restricted us in our activity, however as soon as we were able to during the month of September, we began to resume most of our activities, albeit still with caution and ensuring it was safe to do so.
As soon as we could we also began to open again for our Coffee Mornings which are intended to be a form of outreach into the local community.
We continued during this year to support a local food bank in the town of Gateshead, and we regularly hold a gospel service on the Sunday evening with the purpose of reaching our local community with the gospel.
We still produce a regular video to send out to those who are unable to attend the Church fellowship, and the pastor still sends out a daily devotion for all who wish to receive it, a practise which was started at the beginning of the first lockdown.
It is our intention to see how we can be more proactive in reaching out to our local community once the risks attached to Covid 19 are reduced to a much acceptable level, as we wish to be sensitive to the risk involved not only to ourselves, but to those we would contact on a door-to-door level.
