**Objects:** THE RECORDING, RESTORATION AND PRESERVATION OF AIRCRAFT, AIRFIELDS, AIRFIELD BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES AND AERONAUTICAL ARTEFACTS OF HISTORICAL, TECHNICAL OR OTHER INTEREST FOR THE EDUCATION AND ENJOYMENT OF THE PUBLIC.

**Activities:** The museum collects and conserves for the public benefit and enjoyment the unique aviation heritage of South Yorkshire and is open to the public six days a week to visitors and schools.  The museum is run by volunteers who restore the collection of aircraft and maintain the site and buildings.  The museum site comprises of 4 hectares of land an aircraft hangar and other buildings built in 1940.
