enrolled for her next level, amazing you can (kn this! Now we are now looking
forward to our summer plans Includi￿ the Jubilee Street party. Jubilee events
in stsy and play, sports day, Leavers events and a summer Fayre.
Its been a tough year with increase in minimum wage. Icwler enrolment
number5 across the country fdlowiryg covrd, increase in rates. rent etc and so
a tough year financially. We have continued to tackle this head on with ideas
for fundraising. applying for grants. new advertising v4rth the larger banner.
asking other I￿SinesS and earlyyear5 services for supporL We have had to
reassess roles and are still finding our feet with this following Tina moving on.
I myself have found it very hard with my workload increasi￿A and balancing
that with playgrtyjp and l am sure the team have tts). I did put c#Jt a plea for
help/ someone to take over or even a deputy role but sadlv had no one. From
thls I feel the way forward is to try and recruit more Fwle on to the
committee to widen the amtyjnt of help we have and if everyone could have
a specific role that may also help. l am conscious I want us to continue in this
Strong way and burn ourselves Out as I know seem to be very good at
doing as we are all trying to hard need to be there for eath other and
continue as the amazingteam we are. Can15uggest we have a S￿la1 evening
where we bring committee and team tO8ether! l am aware the committee
now is made up of working parents and alsothe stsff V￿rk load just seems to
getbigger and ￿'gger. which isalso the case with stsy and play and thank you
all so much for all you do. If anyone can help me with applying for grants this
would be a massive helpl

As we head in to the last half term we Wdnt to continue to the ¥￿Y we always
to, positive and going strong. Everyone's sUPPOrt 15 what makes this happen
so thank you. We need to try and meet and great new parents and 8etthem
onboard with the committee also promote what we have been
fundralsln8 for. Movirg on to the end of the year very sadly will be Anita.

events for the playgroup.

through Eaty Years fundiro. fe85. fLmdraisiw and to cover wag8S,
payroll, rent. insur8nce. lyjying teaching resxtrces. cleaniTh3 mat@rials and for
additional 6UPFM)rt sLiff forthe sesshjn. Some finances from fundrakgr
events and grants helped to fu￿ the wrchase of crafts materials, train4￿ for
staff and to also to suppyt everts Ilmt thg communty tCQ8ts.
For thls flnanclal year, wa have had m￿e expendltures in running the
playgroup than inccmme which has been a financial loss forthe setbThJ. This
year, we have W lo ccpe with k)w enrolmenl of chrfdren into the setting.
in¢rease in rent. insurance and also wages for*aff lin ￿¢￿dance to Ihe
National LivirYJ Wages & National Minimum Wage). We also have had to COP8
with increased ¢08t of pwchase ior Sn￿kS and cleanirvJ materials.
We are very grateful forthe 9j[￿¥￿t given ty th8 Earty Ya8rs
support team from the Counc￿ w￿Ch guided us with to rais8
awareness of the settlrg's locatw and to thertL8& what we can offe¢. This
has improved the increased number of chAdren attendwb3 Stay & Play
sessions. We hope th* with this improvemert in the numbers of chiklren
coming into Stay & Play, the enrolment of Ch￿dren into the sessiorts will
increase as well in future. WÈ are very ￿K￿ll￿ th* fuThJraI￿ng events will
also help to incroase awareness and er￿rage enrdment into the S￿tIr￿j.
After 2 years of b￿ng affected by Covkl 19, the fur#JraI￿ng eveTts that have
been held are bringiro communty together. Wo are very gratsful forall
the SUPFQrt that everyone brirvJs.
We have put F4ans in place to prwe f(Keventualtiies stwld we ever have
to ¢108e our settsng. But ￿ is strory hope that with your cwing supwrL

Play8roup Report
Thank you to the team for all of their supporL This temi has posed some
challenges for us including preparing all of the transition records for the
children moving up to school.
We have been working hard on final preparations for the children,
ensuring that as far as possible they are independentwith dressing and
undressin
includin
shoes and coaty resilient self directed in their choice

of attivities confident to approach adults to share their wants and needs
and fully aware that they are important as an individual.
Thank you also to everyone who has been involved with fundraising. we
have had some amazing donationsfor Raffles which have made for a
successful fundraising tenn.
We are now in full swing organising leaveT5 events. the queen's platinum
jubilee party and end of tem) for all children.
We aim to send out full details very soon.
This term we would be very gratefvl for any help that could be offered at
any timel Even if you can't come into the setting if you are ableto do some
small jobs at home for us we would be so 50 grateful!
Stay and Play Report
Stay and Play continues to go really ¥&pII. ￿￿ have had a couple of quiet weeks
and some reallv busy. We have a stron8 Stay and play team of helpers which
Is amazing and keeping ourselves refreshed with ideas. craftetc thank you all
so much. We need to l¢)ok at other vlays of incorKJoratlng playgroup - can we
go backto once a term, so just 3 times a year. we h?ve Someone from
playgroup team to come and prLYnoteP Also print off pr05pectus so we have
hard 81055 copy? Karen 15 Sorting theme5 for next term and Steph and Andrea
have been amazing sorting craft. We also want to I￿k at getting some
visitors in. We had dlddy dance this last term which was fantastic.

Last term was fantastic we set a target of £ILKJo by end of this sctrtt)ol year. So
far v* have raised over £4(K) from Emily amazing! £350 for the spring fayre,
£190 for Easter wreath5 and £56 so for for the 5uperdry bag5 that were
donated - we really bvant this one to reach £150 so any other suggestions
would be 8reat

We want to do one last activity before end of the term the summer fayre so
how can help pleasel Mother union have offered to help again and would be
lovely if we could use extended area-even if just for stalls to make even
bigger and some more games.
