INDEPENDENT EXAMINEWS REPORTON THE ACCOUNTSTO THE TRUSTEES OF LEYLAND PENTECOSTAL FELLOWSHIP I reportto the trustee5 on my examination of the accounts of Leyland Pentecostal Fellowship forthe year ended 31 December 2024. Responsibilities and basls of report As the charity trustee5 you are responsible for the preparation of the account5 in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 20111"the Act"). The charit¢s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144121 of the Act and that an independent examination 15 needed. I report in respect of my examination of the Trustees, accounts carried out under s.145 of the 2011 Act and in carryingout my examination I have followed all the applicable Direttions given bythe Charity Commission under section 145151 (bl of the 2011 Aci. Independent examiners, ststement My examination was carried out in accordance wlth the General Dlrertions glven by the Charity Commission. An examination include5 a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide 311 the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion 15 given as towhether the accounts present a 'true and fair Vie and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below. LEYLAND PENTECOSTAL FELLOWSHIP TRUSTEES'ANNUAL REPORT ICONTINUED) FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2024 Objectives and Artivitles Objects of the charity: The advancement of the Christian Religion by proclamation and furtherance of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Chrlst. Such other charitable purposes as shall further the attainment of the above. Furtherance of other charitable work, consistent with the above. Summary of the main activities: The Church consistently teaches and promotes Biblical Christianity, through its main servi5 and wider outreach. A fortnightly Friday Friendship Café is open to the public as part of our outreach to the community and provides a low-cost nutritious meal in a warm and friendly environment. We also provided rooms in the Church for an AL-Anon group and Prophetic Witness Movement International. Summary of main achievements: The word of God is taught in the various weekly meetings and the gospel faithfully preached, particularly at our"Sunday at Six" meeting. Fellowshlp has been promoted through various formal and informal meetings, post-meeting refreshments and periodic Sunday lunches. We continue to utilise Zoom to allowthe meetings to be made avallable to those who are no longer able to attend the meetings in person. The Sunday ministry of the Word and bible studies are uploaded to the Church's YouTube channel, thus reaching a wider audience. The Sunday School work demonstrated further encouraging grovrth during the year. The faithful ministry and pastoral care of our Pastor lan Winstanley have been greatly appreciated. The Church continues to support several missionary agencie5 and has contributed to those agencie5 to promote Christian teaching both at home and abroad. The Church actively supports children's homes and wider mlssion in both India and the Philippines. Total giving from Churchfundsto other charitable missions during the year amounted to £22,210.
LEYLAND PENTECOSTAL FELLOWSHIP TRUSTEES'ANNUAL REPORT (CONTINUED) FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2024 Financial review: We are grateful to all our members and visitors for their generous support and faithful giving. We appreciate the contribution that the Gift Aid scheme makes to the financial wellbeing of the Church. The church showed a surplus on the general fund on the year of £6,067 compared to a deficit of £427 in 2023. Many and varied contributions continueto be made by our members in term5 of time, effort and labour across a whole range of artivities. The value of such voluntary service is incalculable but invaluable to the smooth and efficient running of our church and we are extremely grateful for all the 5UPPOrt shown. Reserves: Cash at bank and in hand on the general fund was £134,735, this is unrestricted and is held in order to meet future expenditure.
