Activities and achievements of the charity during the year
This is the general report for the Year 2020 (January tst- De￿rnber 31st)
2020 proved to be 8 Challen81r￿ year for everyone, and thls brief report outllnes the work of the church durlng
thi5 trying year.
The focus of the church toward its members. was the contlnulng development of Dlsclple Maklng Groups, to help
people learn the ways of a Christian, and put them into prartlce. These small groups met In varlous locatlons and
soclal settlngs from homes, to cafes and restaurants. The developing method of leaming in a small group and the
study style were under corstsnt revSew durin8 the year, as this was a new approach for the church. Unfortunately
the arrival of Covld19 meant that the soclal Interaction In these groups was curtalled due to lockdown and Social
distancin& however some new groups were stsrted, and others continued vla Zoom.
January and February saw normal thurch seNices and events tsklng place. However wlth the arrival of the
pandemic, and consequent lockdowns, and wlth the Closu￿ of Churches. these setvlces had to be stopped. Very
qulckly onllne servl¢es, through the rnedlum of a Facebook group and a YauTube channel, were Inltlated, thus
allowlng a weekly connectlon and worship opportunlty to rnernbers of the churth famlly.
When the G¢)vemment released the natlon from lockdown In Juty, and after a mandatory Rlsk Assessment was
carrled out by the trustees. wlth all necessary precautlons in pla￿, V￿rshiP serlices resumed, albeit with reduced
capaclty due to soclal dlstanclng In accordance wlth our Risk Assessment. Slnce returnlng to actual In person

Our Alpha Course outreath partlally stalled to lockdown. H¢)wever • Zoorn ￿Pha was stsrted In March, and
proved successful, seeSng several new people joln the church. In July an Alpha began In the maln bulldln& and

The coffee mornlng outreach had to be curtalled In March due to Covld19, and because of the average age of
those attendlng th15 event, it was deemed too risky to re*art durlng the year.
The Llnklng Llves mlnlstry was also hard hlt by Covid19. Thls befriendlng stheme, whlch relies so heavlly on face to
face tlme, wa5 severely restricted due to lockdown regulatlons. However the team dld an amazin8 job, and dld
everythlng they could to malntain connectlons vla phone, letter, cards and small parcels and 8lfts.
The churches generosity overseas has contlnued by regular support through World of Worth. In the year the
hurch also partlcularly re5F￿nded to the Beirut expbslon and both a cydone and Co¥ld19 needs in Mozamblque,
Late in 2019 the work on a new bulldlng extenslon be8an. Through the whole of 2020 thFs work has conttnued as
Income for the project was re￿ived. Though not yet finished, phase l of this work was significantly advanced
durlng a very challengln8 year for both builders and donors alike.
A loop system was also Installed during the year. with somè new media equlpment purchased, and new skills
learned. Some essentlal roof repairs were also carrled out to the rear of the bullding.
