## Nesscliffe YFC 

This year I finished as chairman for two years running the Nesscliffe Young Farmers Club. It truly has been a great year for the club, whilst celebrating our 80th Anniversary and we have gained so many new and enthusiastic young members. Through the year of 23/24 at Nesscliffe YFC, we have achieved a lot! From placing 1st at the Shropshire performing arts competition and qualifying for the West Midlands round with ‘Ernie's Incredible Illucinations’, to placing 2nd with our Float ‘The Three Little Pigs’ at the Shropshire show, competing in the Rally Competitions, Wheelbarrow races, Club Challenges and much more. We have also had great fun putting on social events, Our annual Boxing Night Ball was held at the butter market in Shrewsbury and our Big Summer Bash by kind permission of the Warner Family, with a special feature from Radio 1 DJ Charlie Hedges. Both nights were great successes. We also held our first Dinner and Dance in many years, which was a very great night. We had great support from other clubs and everything went very smoothly. Late June we organised and held our 80th Anniversary Celebrations by kind permission from the Bright Family. It was a fantastic night with amazing food, music and dancing! The night also consisted of a couple games in order to raise money for two chosen charities, Headway and Yellow Wellies, we have managed to raise a very generous amount for these two charities so thank you to anyone who donated. Throughout the year we have put on numerous fun socials for our members to come along to and enjoy. Such as pumpkin carving, jump in, A tour around Shrewsbury Fire Station, Go Karting and much more. We have had a great year overall meeting inviting new people in and making friends for life. I would like to thank my Secretary and Treasurer, Jemima Waner and Annabelle Wixey for helping the club run at its best.
