The Charity is a member of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) which provides regular up-to-date information that is useful in assisting the Charity to successfully run its services.

| All our activities for the year were carried out in line with the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit. Our main activities continue to be: weekly Church prayer fellowships/Bible study classes, Pastoral counselling services, Food/clothes distribution to the homeless/needy, Hospital visitation/prayer services for the sick, Drop-in video recreation centre for the aged and Weekly Street Community Outreaches. These activities benefit the public by providing Christian resources and services for spiritual, socio-economic and moral well-being, which help beneficiaries live a crime-free and fulfilled life. All our activities are offered absolutely free-of-charge and are open to any interested member of the wider public regardless of ethnic, social, economic or religious background. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the lock-down imposed by the government during the course of the year, these activities were hugely curtailed. We also had to incorporate some ad hoc activities, especially delivering shopping and providing telephone counselling for the aged and vulnerable people that were adversely affected by the pandemic. We are glad that we were able to contribute our little quota to the government and community initiatives to help people through the pandemic. |

Summary of the main During the year, and within the limitations imposed by the Covid-19 achievements of the charity pandemic lockdowns, the charity successfully ran most of its regular on- during the year going activities as highlighted in the Summary of Main Activities above. Our well-structured Bible Study classes continue to gain increasing popularity within the community with more and more participants joining in. The classes provide beneficiaries with well-balanced life-application teachings which are designed to help each individual gain the understanding that is necessary to live a practical and fulfilling Christian life. As a result of the lockdown restrictions imposed by the government due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we had to move the classes online for most part of the year. We are glad to report that the online hosting of the classes was a huge success, and provided a great source of comfort and encouragement to many during the stressful lockdown periods, as they were able to connect with us right from their homes. We continue to receive encouraging reports from many beneficiaries of our services who heartily express their gratitude to the charity for how their lives are being remarkably changed for the better through personal application of the Christian principles they learn whilst participating in our activities. Our Prayer and Counselling Services, which were carried out remotely by telephone due to the Covid-19 pandemic, also recorded a steady increase in number of beneficiaries as word continues to spread in the community about their effectiveness. As with the previous years, we again received a few prayer requests from some non-Christians within the community. We are grateful to God that our activities are clearly bringing beneficial changes to people’s lives regardless of their faith. Our weekly Church Fellowship meetings on the evenings of Wednesdays and Fridays as well as Sunday mornings provide good opportunity for families to worship God together and be refreshed in an atmosphere of Christian love and unity. These services were moved online for the most part of the year due to the government restrictions imposed as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Weekly Street Community Outreach programme which the charity started a few years ago, could only be carried out during the first two months of the year (January and February) before the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown was imposed. The opportunity it provides for all interested passers-by to receive free on-the-spot counselling and advice, as well as other relevant support within the scope of the Charity’s objects, has always been well embraced by many people who are resident within the local community that the charity serves. A report based on a recent survey which the charity carried out on the community benefits of this outreach programme and several similar feedbacks received from those who have stopped by to use the programme, was quite encouraging. The income/expenditure balance of the charity during the year shows a positive amount of eight thousand five hundred and nineteen pounds. This is a much better performance compared to the negative balances the charity recorded in recent years. The positive balance this year is largely due to the Covid-19 support grants that the charity received. During the year, one of our Trustees (Dr Adebisi Abraham) resigned her Trusteeship to the charity with effect from 17 December 2020. We thank her heartily for her immense contributions to the progress of the charity

The charity’s main source of funds continues to be from members contributions to the Church. However, this year the charity's funds were significantly boosted by the Covid-19 grants it received.
Our expenditure has been strictly applied to support the key objectives of the charity. All our activities are directly run by the trustees with ample support from volunteers drawn from our pool of beneficiaries, thereby curtailing high and presently un-affordable staff costs.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31 / 12 / 2020 .
Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
