We welcomed two new members to the preschool room team Alisha and Olivia. We had been able to take part in the Rotary Club Christmas float and received a sum of £400 and we had also taken part with the Tesco Community Grant where three local good causes are selected to be in the blue token customer vote in Tesco stores throughout the UK, although this was hindered due to the pandemic, we received a lovely sum of £500. With our long-standing staff member Leanne of over 16 years leaving us in the previous December Nicole and Kate (Manager/Deputy Manager) took on her position of Office Manager. Beaumont were part of the Government and Hampshire County Council Food Voucher scheme where vouchers were purchased and distributed to help support households identified in the most need, this continued throughout most of the terms. The children came back after the Christmas break as always ready to get busy as you will see thorough mostly our Facebook page, they love to get stuck in and just be children in the Spring Term they loved World Book Day where before dressing up was restricted they were now able to dress up in their favourite characters from books or television. In March we also launched our new Website and we hope this has offered a wealth of accessible information for you as parents and carers not only about information from us but also a wider range of other useful information. – Summer Term April 2022 July 2022 With the beautiful weather coming this of all was one of the most exciting terms to come. We finally could start welcoming more parents to events with our Easter Hat Parade, it was lovely to be able to welcome parents back into the setting after such a long time. The staff really enjoyed being able to have the time to chat to parents. The children were all great in the parade and the judging was so difficult as all the hats really were amazing. The children enjoyed a Healthy Heroes Workshop which is educating children in a fun and interactive way, so they understand the importance of self-care and have the knowledge to implement healthy habits supporting healthy starts for young children and increasing Emotional, Physical and Oral Health outcomes. They also love a Spanish taster session from Kidslingo which combines music, movement, games, storytelling and actions, whilst having the added benefit of learning an additional language. With some Early Years Pupil Premium money known as EYPP we had some real Duck eggs for 10 days, the children absolutely loved watching them hatch and looking after them. It was lovely to host another event at the preschool and even more special as it was the Queen’s Jubilee, the children enjoyed lots of activities based on this and we decorated the courtyard ready for a Jubilee Picnic, with the support from parents helping and donating it was a huge success and the children loved their special keepsake Jubilee medals. In May we welcomed Emily to the preschool room, however lost Alisha and Tori became the preschool room leader and Chris the deputy room leader. As we neared onto towards the end of the summer term the school leavers were busy with getting ready for school and transition days at there new school for their next big adventures. The children had their Leaver’s photos done by our brilliant photographer Mark Kennedy where they looked amazing in their graduation gowns and hat. Along came the Leaver’s prom and the staff worked hard to transform the preschool into a Hollywood Themed setting with the help of parents donating food, specially made banners making balloon arches and donating items via our Amazon wishlist, with the red carpet it really made a VIP experience for the children. It was sad to see another cohort of children leave our setting but we knew they were ready to take the next step in their journey and they left with a reminder of Beaumont with their graduation hat boxes with a special graduation medal inside. – Autumn Term September 2022 December 2022 We welcome back children returning from the Summer holidays and as every term lovely new children and families joining the Beaumont family. The parents/carers were so generous donating items throughout September and October for Harvest which is an annual celebration that gives the chance to learn about and reflect on the food we gather and eat as well as giving to others in the community with the many donations we received we donated this to the local Grub Hub. In October the children loved an unusual visit from Zoolab with a seasonal themed classic story of Zoo on the Broom (Room on a broom) the children experienced a rhyming adventure story based on the book but also involved meeting some real-life animals such as spider, frog, snake, snail and other animals too. The children took part in a Sports4Kids workshop where they got to do activities through imaginative exercise, using storytelling and play to inspire fitness, health and physical development. We also welcomed local counsellors to use our Beaumont building to host a Coffee with Cops event to support people in the local and surrounding community. And throughout the year we pride ourselves in welcoming several students from work experience to college placements to experience childcare on an everyday level. We also welcomed two new members to our team Shannon in the Bumbles and Rebecca in the preschool. And after a lot of hard work Diane gained her Level 3 qualification. The festive season and end of the autumn term came fast and the children had so much fun creating wonderful creations and doing lots of amazing activities. Children came in wearing lots of brilliant Christmas jumpers and the parents won some lovely prizes in our Christmas raffle. Best of all the children had an amazing time at their Christmas party where they ate, danced and got to meet Santa who even gave them a present to take home. The term ended with staff and children visiting Princes Hall theatre to watch the Cinderella pantomime which was a magical experience. So what are our development plans? As a setting we a consistently developing whether that be from conversations, supervisions or just simply day to day ideas, we do have more focused developments where we use specifically sourced funding such as grants or fundraising, our previous developments have been outdoor provision where we will be creating a sensory garden in the main courtyard and also developing our roleplay/home corners going forward into the next year we want to work on engaging parents as a focus this is to bridge the gap of parental involvement which we felt was the biggest impact of the pandemic and also includes home learning as we felt it wasn’t working in the way that we had hoped and our other development plan is looking at is ensuring we are bridging the gap of equality diversity and inclusion. To summarise the year it has had its challenges however staff and children are always resilient and most of all as management we can look at the pictures that the staff take day to day and we also see it through our own eyes that the children are having fun, they are learning and becoming the best version of themselves which is all we could ever ask for ready for their next journeys. ## **Treasurer Report 2021/2022** We started 2021 with an opening balance of £29,056.39 and our closing balance in August 2022 was £39,559.55 giving us a profit at year end of £10,503.16, this includes some fundraising and when deducted the profit comes to £8524.70. Although our accounts do show as a profit all money goes back into the setting for developments and training. Our Nursery fees income came to a total of £151,133.21 during September 2021-August 2022, £112,192.71 came from EYE Funding. This does not include the EYPP money which is kept separate to use for specific children’s needs as well as our Noodle Now training package, we also used some to have Duck eggs that the children enjoyed watching hatch into ducklings. Fundraising over the year came from Enjoy benefits, Rushmoor Lottery, Amazon Smile and small fundraising raffles such as Christmas with a total altogether over the year of £2905.44. We used fundraising throughout the year to pay for GLS materials and resources including paint, craft etc, a new sand and water tray for the Bumbles room, prom decorations and other small purchases such as new play food and gifts such as Jubilee and leavers medals which altogether totalled £1466.32. We applied for Tesco, Morrison and CO-OP grants during the year and were successful with Tesco and received £500 and CO-OP where so far we have received £206.36 with more to follow, After staff went out with the Christmas float with the rotary club we raised £400 which we put into our grants to go towards our bigger projects such as the outdoor area and our role play areas. We have had a very successful year with high amounts of children which has continued to grow especially in the Bumbles room, the overall uptake has resulted in us going in to September 2022 with a waiting list.
