## ADMINISTRATIVE INFORMATION:

Bethel Community Church is a Pentecostal Church in Kenfig Hill and Maesteg situated in the County Borough of Bridgend.

The following is a list of Trustees for Bethel CC, Mr Des Duffy Mr Gavin Duffy Mrs Ceri Duffy

## STRUCTURE, GOVERNACE AND MANAGEMENT:

Bethel Community Church is managed by pastoral oversight and supported by the

Trustees. To be a Trustee it is a requirement for the person to be a member of the church. The Trustees meet approximately 4 times a year when all are available. The Trustees make sure that charity is carrying out the purposes for which it is set up, whilst making sure it complies with its governing document and charity law.

It deals with all the governance issues and with a variety of building and ministry matters over the year. Through this process the church has continued to update its Health and Safety and Safeguarding policies, GDRP and other governance policies. The church is Led by Pastors, Des and Jackie Duffy with an onsite Leadership team.

Bethel is also part of the AoG UK and is further overseen by The AoG apostolic leadership of Chris Vaz from Gateway Church Abergavenny.

## OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES:

Bethel Community Church provides resources and facilities for public worship, pastoral care, spiritual, moral and intellectual development, both for its members and for those who wish to benefit from what the church offers.

Worship is an integral part of church activities both on a Sunday and midweek since it is paramount that the Lord Jesus Christ is central to our activities.

The members of the church are also encouraged to support other churches in ministry when requested. In addition to having a monthly service in local care homes, the church also supported local charities by fund-raising events and direct giving.

Bethel CC is also committed to missions both home and abroad, financially, physically and in prayer.

Bethel CC holds a Children's club for 7-11-year-olds on a Thursday in Kenfig Hill, where all participants gather for games and Bible talks. The Church normally holds an annual free fun day for the community in a local playing field, which is well supported. However once again, this year due to manpower the day did not take place.

The Church usually meets in Kenfig Hill on every Sunday evening during the year, as well as having regular weekly meetings in Maesteg on a Sunday morning using a building rented from the Assemblies of God. This was the third year since 2019 that the churches were able to meet in person, consistently every week for a Sunday Service. The church believes it has needed to continue with an on-line presence for the congregation and the public and has therefore continued to live stream at least one service per week. We currently have on average of 500 plus views per week

We have two mid-week meetings, one on a Tuesday in Kenfig Hill and one on a Wednesday, hosted in Maesteg. These ventures have been reasonably successful. The core of Bethel CC beliefs state that the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God, that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that He alone provides atonement for sin in his death and resurrection. The Holy Spirit is taught as being the third member of the Trinity and indwells the individual who has accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

We are currently look how to expand our ability to cater for more people at our Kenfig Hill premises.
