**The Trustees are pleased to present their annual report together with the financial statements of Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Charitable Fund (‘the Charity’) for the year ending 31 December 2023.**
**The financial statements comply with the Charities Act 2011 and Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice (2019) applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019).**
## Trust Chair’s report
As the Chair of the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust (‘the Trust’), I am pleased to welcome you to the Annual Report and Accounts for our Charity for the year ended 31 December 2023.
Over the past year, our Charity has continued to provide support to the Trust by funding projects and activities that make a difference to staff, patients and carers. On behalf of the Trust, I am sincerely grateful to all those who have supported our Charity during this time. Recognising the current economic climate in 2023 has continued to be challenging for many NHS charities , we are grateful for the generosity shown by individuals and organisations who collectively helped us raise £198,000. These donations have enabled our Charity to fund a wide range of projects to improve patient experience, and enhance the services provided by the Trust by supporting projects that fall outside of the standard NHS provision.
Making a difference for our patients continues to be one of the top priorities for our Charity. In 2023 we continued to fund a palliative care discharge nurse post. In addition, we have invested in specialist equipment for premature babies, including the purchase of breast pumps to support mothers expressing while their babies are in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. We also purchased a Twin Cot at University Hospital Lewisham to enable premature
twins to be together whilst being cared for at the unit.
As part of our continued effort to enhance the environment for our young patients, our Charity funded new light installations at the Children’s Outpatients department at University Hospital Lewisham. To support the community healthcare centres that the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust serves, our Charity installed a new scanner for Gynaecology Services at Queen Mary Hospital. This ultrasound scanner enables the Gynaecology Outpatients department at Queen Mary’s Hospital to offer one-stop gynaecology and fertility clinics.
To provide comfort to bereaved families in the Intensive Care Unit (ITU) at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, our Charity funded ‘Forget Me Not’ memory boxes. These memory boxes allow bereaved relatives to create unique mementos of their loved one, containing items that can be personalised such as a wooden heart plaque that can feature the patient’s fingerprint. The patient’s relatives can include an ECG rhythm strip (showing the heartbeat of the patient), their wristband and any of their personal belongings in the box. Feedback from relatives for this initiative has been extremely positive.
Over the past year our Charity has also supported a range of projects for Trust staff, including the provision of benches in the wellbeing garden at

University Lewisham Hospital and making a significant contribution towards the annual Staff Star Awards. Our Charity also continued to fund a dedicated staff wellbeing nurse offering colleagues a range of wellbeing support measures including 1:1 ‘health MOT’ sessions. In recognition of the wellbeing benefits this post brings to staff, recurrent funding for this post has recently been made available by the Trust.
As in previous years, our Charity supported the annual Trust memorial ”Forget-me-not” service to commemorate all children and babies who have died during pregnancy or after their birth.
Our Charity is the grateful recipient of donations and grants from generous supporters in our community and we extend our heartfelt gratitude for this support. We were especially humbled by those who left a gift in their will for our Charity, as well as those who so generously support our charity in memory of a loved one. It is thanks to a legacy donation that we were able to recruit a new, nurse-led Enhanced Supportive Care Clinic at University College Lewisham. This clinic offers additional support to patients with incurable (but treatable) cancer at the point of diagnosis.
In 2023 the Trust’s own NHS Choir has continued to support our Charity, and through their many public appearances (including a Windrush anniversary event, celebrations for the King’s birthday and other outdoor events over the summer) have brought in additional funds of more than £9,000 over the past 12 months.
We are also grateful to NHS Charities Together for the development grant they awarded to our Charity, which is enabling us to raise its visibility and profile.
We also extend thanks to those who supported our Charity in the past 12 months by taking part in an activity or event. In 2023 our Charity team delivered an exciting and varied calendar of events to mark the 75th Anniversary of the NHS. We are grateful to all Trust colleagues and supporters who participated in these events which included a Cutty Sark rig climb, skydive event and the Big Half marathon, helping us raise generous funds. We also launched two fundraising raffles, and we thank our community for all the generous prizes donated towards this. In July, our Charity, with the support from Trust partners, celebrated the 75th anniversary of the NHS by offering colleagues across our hospitals cakes as part of the celebrations. Thanks to the support of Trust partners and supporters, our charity raised £48,000 and contributed towards the Trust’s annual Star Awards, which celebrated colleagues, volunteers and as well as our very own Charity champions.
On behalf of the many patients and staff who have benefitted from the generosity of those that have supported the Charity, thank you for your continued support in helping our Charity make such a difference for the benefit of patients, visitors and staff.
We have many exciting plans for the coming year and are currently building our programme of fundraising events for 2024. In terms of activity planned for the coming months, we will soon be launching a fundraising appeal to raise money for garden equipment for our young patients at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. We are also planning a project to buy equipment to support our patients affected by dementia and have recently purchased mobile phone charging units that will be installed in waiting areas across both our hospitals.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank those individuals who have served on the Charity’s Committee during 2023, and on behalf of all Trustees, I would like to express our appreciation to my colleagues throughout the Trust for their continued dedication in caring for patients in our local communities.
Finally, on behalf of the many patients and staff who have benefitted from the generosity of those that have supported the Charity, thank you for your continued support in helping our Charity make such a difference for the benefit of patients, visitors and staff. _Starbucks stores in the Sout East of London chose to support our Charity for their ‘Global month of Good’ for the second year._
_Activities included fundraising in store raising over £500 and ending the month with a 5km walk from the Cutty Sark, Greenwich to University Hospital Lewisham to hand out Starbucks goodies to our frontline colleagues._
## Our purposes and activities
Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Charitable Fund (the Charity) is an independent registered charity (registered number 1050522). The Charity was established on 1 October 2013 under the Statutory Instrument Act 2013 No.2376.
The purpose of the Charity is to provide equipment and facilities, enhance the level of staff training and to promote research. It also aims to improve the environment of both patients and staff and to provide for expenditure on other charitable purposes that the Trust would otherwise be unable to provide from exchequer funds. By working with the Trust, the Charity assists patients from every walk of life. The Charity works with the Trust to enhance the experience of patients, carers, their families and also our Trust colleagues.
In setting the Charity’s key aims, the Charity has regard to the Charity Commission’s general guidance on public benefits. The Trustees always ensure that its key aims are in line with its charitable objectives.
In administering the Charity, the Trustees are responsible for ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011.
By working with the Trust, the Charity enhances the experience of patients, carers, their families and also Trust staff for the public benefit.
## Achievements and performance in 2023
In 2023, our Charity has experienced a challenging financial year, similar to other small charities. In this period, the Charity has continued to build its foundations including delivering its first calendar of fundraising activities to raise funds as well as its profile. Despite external factors having a continued effect on charitable giving, direct donations to the Charity totalled £198,000 during the 2023 period. This figure does not include generous in-kind gifts received from the community as part of the Christmas Appeal and NHS 75 celebrations.

In 2023, the Charity spent a total of £216,000 on charitable activities in four main areas:
## 1 Enhancing patient experience with new equipment:
The Trust has a programme to ensure provision of medical equipment for patients. With advances in technology the Charity can make a real difference in purchasing additional items to enhance patient experience. In 2023, the Charity approved £13,000 funding for additional equipment including sensory toys for our young patients. In addition, for our youngest patients in the Neonatal Intensive care Unit at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, it purchased a specialised Cosytherm system and mattress. It also purchased a Vein Finder to support the identification of veins for young patients. In addition, we funded a new communication display screen for the Trafalgar Clinic (the sexual health clinic at Queen Elizabeth Hospital) waiting area. To support the Trust’s bladder, bowel and pelvic health service, the charity purchased a NeuTrac Myoplus pro device for incontinence treatment, pain relief and neuromuscular rehabilitation.
## 3 Supporting staff to deliver the best possible care:
As sustained high demand for Trust services continues, the Charity continued its focus on staff wellbeing initiatives, spending £92,000 in this area during 2023. Working with colleagues in the Trust Wellbeing Team, the Charity funded comfortable furniture plus garden furniture and crockery for dedicated staff rest areas. Support also included the funding of customised lanyards for maternity staff to enable patients to identify staff roles. In addition, the Charity also supported the Trust Choir, the Star Awards and provided lunch for those staff working on Christmas Day.
## 2 Improving patient education and welfare:
The Charity spent £41,000 in 2023 on supporting patients’ education and welfare. This included funding furniture for the Trafalgar Clinic waiting area to make it more comfortable. In addition, the Charity purchased warm clothes for vulnerable patients being discharged who do not have access to warm clothing. The Charity also purchased TVs for patient waiting areas and for patients in the Intensive Care Unit, for entertainment and distraction. To enhance the environment for our young patients, the Charity funded ‘sky light tiles’ installations in three examination rooms in Children’s Outpatients at University Hospital Lewisham. To support those affected by a bereavement, the Charity funded Memory boxes for the Intensive Care Unit at Queen Elizabeth Hospital as well as funding baby loss awareness materials to support bereavement midwives during their awareness roadshows at the Trust.

The Charity spent £70,000 on support and governance costs.

## Financial review
As a charity, our aim is to make sure that every penny of your donation is spent to make the best possible impact to Trust staff and patients. Applications for General Fund grants are encouraged from staff. It is only thanks to the generosity of the Charity’s supporters that we are able to support the work to enhance the experience of staff, patients and the carers of patients at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust.
This part of the Trustees’ Annual Report comments on key elements of the accounts. The following figures are taken from the Charity’s accounts detailed within this annual report.
In 2023 we received income of £236,000 and spent £216,000 on charitable activities. In 2023 the Charity continued to focus expenditure on purchasing new equipment, patient education & welfare, and staff education and welfare.
_Thanks to a generous gift left by a member of our community in their Will, our Charity was able to fund a new ‘Enhanced Supportive Care’ (ESC) Nurse Lead role for our cancer patients. Enhanced Supportive Care’ (ESC) is a new concept, being rolled out nationally, which offers additional support to patients with incurable (but treatable) cancer at the point of diagnosis. ESC ensures that patients have early access to specialist support._
_Nikki Macfarlane, Enhanced Supportive Care Lead says: Using a holistic approach means we are treating the patient and not just the disease and this can really help the patient to focus on what matters to them, a key aspect of personalised care. We can also include family members/carers into our discussions, help with referrals to other services._

## How we manage your donations
The Charity makes grants from both its unrestricted and restricted funds to enhance the experience of Trust patients and staff.
**Unrestricted funds:** are funds received by the Charity with no specific preference expressed by donors on how these monies should be spent. Staff are encouraged to apply for funding from this fund for projects in areas of the Trust that do not have a designated fund to help them. The application must be supported by the relevant Divisional Director of Operations and authorised by a Trustee.
**Restricted funds:** are funds established for a part of the Trust or a particular activity nominated for support by the donor. They are overseen by fund advisors who can make recommendations on how to spend the money within donor’s wishes. Fund advisors’ recommendations are generally accepted, and these funds can be spent at any time. Spending plans are requested from fund advisors with the aim to spend funds within a reasonable time period.
## Our plans for 2024
We will continue to work with the Trust to ensure that donations make the biggest possible impact enhancing patient care over and above the core services funded by the NHS.
In 2024 we will continue to build on the Charity’s foundations to increase its fundraising potential as well and increase its visibility both on Trust sites and through on site and digital platforms. In 2023 the Charity developed and launched a dedicated supporter database, thanks to the development grant received from NHS Charities Together. In 2024 the Charity will continue to develop engaging activities and communications for staff, supporters and our community. This will include the launch of dedicated appeals including as garden appeal to improve play areas for our youngest patients.
Donations received will enable us to fund long-term projects to benefit the Trust’s staff and patients. Projects already agreed include; continuing to fund a Nurse Led Enhanced Supportive Care Clinic post and supporting a project to create a dementia friendly space for patients to relax.
Your support makes these plans possible, so please do consider making a donation or getting involved with our charity’s work. Further details on how you can do this are provided on page 29.
_Thanks to donations, our Charity was able to purchase new equipment for the waiting area at Dolphins Paediatric Outpatients Unit at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich. To ensure the waiting areas are as welcoming as possible for our younger patients, the addition of a new TV, DVD player and interactive Crocodile Wall Toy have been added to enhance the environment and provide entertainment to our younger patients while they wait to be seen by a clinician._
_The Crocodile is interactive and encourages the children to engage with each other as well as promoting fine motor skills. It has enhanced our waiting area._

## Reserves policy
The Charity has an established reserve policy as part of its plan to provide long-term support to the Trust.
The Trustees review the level of reserves on an annual basis. Based on the Charity’s current level of activity, the Trustees agreed that the minimum level of unrestricted reserves held should be £75,000.
Throughout the year ended 31 December 2023, the level of reserves held by the Charity was significantly above the minimum level agreed by the Trustees.
## Investments policy
Given the current poor investment returns, and high costs of running an investment portfolio, the Trustees decided that the Charity would not invest its funds in an investment portfolio either in the short or long-term foreseeable future, therefore the Charity does not hold an investment portfolio.

## **The Trustee of the Charitable Fund is the corporate body of Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust.**
The Board of Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust act as Trustees of the Charity and are responsible for deciding policy and ensuring that it is implemented. Oversight of the Charity’s agreed programme of activities is provided by the Charity Committee. ## Structure, governance and management
## Governing document
Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Charitable Fund (the Charity) is an independent registered charity (registered number 1050522). The Charity was established on 1 October 2013 under Statutory Instrument 2013 No.2376.
## Governance and management
Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Board act as Trustees for the Charity. The Trustees have agreed that as the Charity is small, there is no requirement to set up separate committees to scrutinise various aspects of the Charity’s business; instead, all Trustees contribute to how the Charity is managed through the Charitable Funds Committee.
The Trustees have delegated the oversight of the Charity to the Chief of Staff and the day-to-day responsibility of managing the Charity to the Head of Charity and Volunteers, with the Trust’s Chief Financial Officer having responsibility for financial control. The Charity has adopted the internal controls of Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust.
The administration and control of the individual accounts which constitute the Charity are delegated to members of the Trust’s staff who are best placed to recognise needs (Charitable Fund Managers) and are in a relevant role (i.e. service managers, ward sisters/managers, clinical directors or other specialists). Charitable Fund Managers are directly accountable to the Trustees.
Every effort is made to ensure that administrative costs are kept to a minimum, meaning that more funds can be used for the purpose for which they were donated.
## Key management personnel remuneration
The Board of Trustees are the key management personnel of the Charity. The Trustees do not receive any pay, emoluments or other financial benefit from the Charity for their duties and they give their time freely. Trustees may claim travel expenses, although none were claimed in 2023.
The Head of Charity and Volunteers helps manage and grow the charity’s income and profile. In order to further support the growth of the Charity, in 2023, a dedicated Fundraising and Engagement Coordinator was appointed. Both roles are funded jointly by the Charity and the Trust.
## Risk management
The major risks to which the Charity is exposed have been identified and considered. They have been reviewed and systems established to mitigate those risks. The Trustees are confident that reliance can be placed on the management arrangements in place which include independent examination to minimise any risk to the Charity.
The Charity has no investment assets so there is no associated risk with an investment portfolio. Procedures are in place to ensure that both spending and financial commitments remain in line with income. Governance of income and expenditure follows the Charities policy which was last updated on 31st October 2023.
## Related parties
None of the Trustees receive remuneration or other benefit from their work with the Charity. The Trustees are required to declare any potential conflict of interests. No conflicts of interest were declared by Trustees that impacted upon the Charity in 2023.

## Statement of Trustees’ responsibilities in respect of the Trustees’ Annual Report and Accounts
## **The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Annual Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations.**
The law applicable to charities in England & Wales requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year in accordance with United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (United Kingdom Accounting Standards and applicable law). The trustees must not approve the financial statements unless they are satisfied that they give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of the incoming resources and application of resources, including the income and expenditure, of the charity for that period.
## In preparing these financial statements, the trustees are required to:
- Select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently;
- Observe the methods and principles in the Charities SORP;
- Make judgements and estimates which are reasonable and prudent;
- State whether applicable accounting standards have been followed, subject to any material departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements.
- Prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue to operate.
The Trustees are responsible for keeping sufficient accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and enable it to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities Act 2011, the Charity (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 and the provisions of the trust deed. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
The Trustee confirms to the best of its knowledge and belief it has complied with the above requirements in preparing the accounts.

## **I report to the trustees on my examination of the financial statements of the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Charitable Fund (‘the charity’) for the year ended 31st December 2023 which comprise the Statement of Financial Activities, the Balance Sheet the Statement of Cash Flows and related notes.**
This report is made solely to the charity’s trustees, as a body, in accordance with section 145 of the Charities Act 2011. My work has been undertaken so that I might state to the charity’s trustees those matters I am required to state to them in this report and for no other purpose. _Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, our Charity was able to purchase five specialist breast pumps for use in our Neonatal department at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Woolwich._
_These new devices will support mothers expressing while their babies are spending time in our Neonatal Unit, helping make a huge difference to both mother and baby._

## Notes to the accounts
## 1. Accounting policies
## a) Basis of preparation
The Charity is a public benefit entity and the financial statements have been prepared in compliance with Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019) (the Charities SORP) and Charities Act 2011.
Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust will not consolidate the results of these accounts over which it considers it has the power to exercise control in accordance with IFRS 10 Consolidated Financial Statements requirements as the Charity’s accounts are not deemed to be material.
## b) Preparation of the accounts on a going concern basis
The accounts have been prepared on a going concern basis as;
- There are no plans to dissolve the Charitable Fund;
- The Charitable Fund has sufficient funds to carry out its objectives and anticipates that it will continue to receive donations from the public; and
- There are no material uncertainties about the Charitable Fund’s ability to continue as a going concern nor are there any material uncertainties affecting the current year’s accounts.
## c) Income
All income is recognised once the Charitable Fund has entitlement to the funds, it is probable (more likely than not) that the income will be received and the monetary value of the income can be measured with sufficient reliability.
Where there are terms or conditions attached to income then these terms or conditions must be met before the income is recognised as the entitlement condition will not be met until that point. Where terms or conditions have not been met or uncertainty exists as to whether they can be met then the relevant income is not recognised in the year but deferred and shown on the balance sheet as deferred income.
## d) Income from legacies
Legacies are accounted for as incoming resources either upon receipt or where the receipt of the legacy is probable.
Receipt is probable when;
- Confirmation has been received from the representatives of the estate that probate has been granted;
- The executors have established that there are sufficient assets in the estate to pay the legacy; and
- All conditions attached to the legacy have been fulfilled or are within the charitable fund’s control.
If there is uncertainty as to the amount of the legacy and it cannot be reliably estimated then the legacy is shown as a contingent asset until all of the conditions for income recognition are met. Legacies totalling £53,000 were received by the Charity in 2023.
## e) Interest receivable
Interest on funds held on deposit is included when receivable and the amount can be measured reliably by the Charitable Fund; this is normally upon notification of the interest paid or payable by the Bank.
## f) Funds structure
Where there is a legal restriction on the purpose to which a fund may be put, the fund is classified either as:
- A restricted fund; or
- An endowment fund.
Restricted funds are those where the donor has provided for the donation to be spent in furtherance of a specified charitable purpose.
Endowment funds arise when the donor has expressly provided that the gift is to be invested and only the income of the fund may be spent. The Charitable Fund has no endowment funds.

Those funds which are neither endowment nor restricted income funds, are unrestricted income funds which are sub analysed between designated (earmarked) funds where the Trustees have set aside amounts to be used for specific purposes or which reflect the non-binding wishes of donors and unrestricted funds which are at the Trustees’ discretion, including the general fund. The major funds held in each of these categories are disclosed in Note 21.
## g) Expenditure and irrecoverable VAT
Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under headings that aggregate all costs related to each category of expense shown in the Statement of Financial Activities. Expenditure is recognised when the following criteria are met:
- There is a present legal or constructive obligation resulting from a past event;
- It is more likely than not that a transfer of benefits (usually a cash payment) will be required in settlement; and
- The amount of the obligation can be measured or estimated reliably.
Irrecoverable VAT is charged as a cost against the activity for which the expenditure was incurred.
## h) Allocation of support costs
Support costs are those costs which do not relate directly to a single activity. These include costs of administration and internal and external audit costs. Support costs are allocated across the charitable activity on the basis proportionate to average fund balance. The analysis of support costs is shown in Note 6.
## i) Charitable activities
Costs of charitable activities comprise all costs incurred in the pursuit of the charitable objects of the Charitable Fund (see note 5).
## k) Tangible fixed assets
The Charity has no fixed assets such as land and buildings.
## l) Intangible fixed assets
The Charity has no intangible fixed assets.
## m) Debtors
Trade and other debtors are recognised at the settlement amount due after any trade discount offered and are amounts owed to the Charity.
## n) Cash at bank and in hand
Cash at bank and in hand is held to meet the day-today running costs of the Charitable Fund as they fall due.
## o) Creditors
Creditors are recognised at their settlement amount after allowing for any trade discounts due and are amounts owed by the Charitable Fund.
Amounts which are owed in more than a year are shown as long-term creditors.
## p) Financial instruments
The Charitable Fund has no financial assets and financial liabilities of a kind that qualify as basic financial instruments. Basic financial instruments are initially recognised at transaction value and subsequently measured at their settlement.
## q) Realised gains and losses
All gains and losses are taken to the Statement of Financial Activities as they arise.
## r) Pensions
A proportion of the pension contributions of the Head of Charity and the Charity Support Officer are recharged to the Trust.
## j) Fixed asset investments
The Charitable fund has no fixed asset investments.

_As part of celebrations for the 75th Anniversary of the NHS we had a celebration on both of our hospital sites for colleagues, kindly supported by trust partners ISS who donated cakes. We also raised over £10,000 during NHS 75 Fundraising Events such as a Sky dive, Charity quiz, raffle and the Big Half marathon._

The Charitable Fund initially identifies the costs of its support functions. It then identifies those costs which relate to the governance function which relate to the strategic and day-to-day management of the Charity. Having identified its governance costs, the remaining support costs together with the governance costs are allocated across the charitable activity on the basis of proportionate to average fund. The charity does not pay overheads as these are paid for by the Trust.
## 7. Remuneration and benefits received by Trustees
The Charity’s Trustees give their time freely and receive no remuneration or benefits for the work that they undertake as Trustees. They may claim reasonable expenses, although no expenses were claimed in 2023 (2022: nil).
## 8. Services provided by Trust
Service costs relate to the Charitable Fund Manager employed by the Trust, of which the costs are charged to the charity.

In recognition of the work carried out by the Head of Charity and Volunteers on projects benefitting Trust staff and patients, a portion of their salary is recharged to the Trust. Charity staff costs reflect the portion funded by the charity. Costs are allocated to unrestricted funds.

## 10. Staff numbers
The Charity has no employees, the Head of Charity and Volunteers and the Charity Support Officer are employees of the Trust and a portion of their salaries is recharged to the Charitable Fund.

The independent examiner’s remuneration of £1k (2022: £1k) related solely to the examination with no other additional work being undertaken.

## 15. Related party transactions
The Charitable Fund spent £216k (2022: £335k) for the benefit of NHS patients and staff at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust which provides healthcare services for the benefit of NHS patients.
Members of the Trust Board are also the Trustees of the Charitable Fund. None of the Trustees or parties related to them has undertaken any transactions with the Charitable Fund or received any benefit from the Charity in payment or kind. The Trustees received no honoraria or emoluments in the year. No expenses were paid to Trustees.
During the year to 31 December 2023, following the restructure of the Charity team, the Charity was charged £5,000 for any financial services provided by Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust.
Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust prepares its accounts to 31 March every year and therefore at the time of reporting, the most recent audited figures for the Trust are for the year ended 31 March 2023.
