Activities
THE OGONI FOUNDATION IS CURRENTLY ASSISTING OTHER COMMUNITIES IN OGONILAND WITH THE CASE AGAINST SHELL ON OIL SPILLS OF 2008.THE FOUNDATION IS ALSO WORKING WITH MOSOP AND OTHER OGONIS ON THE CURRENT UNEP OGONI CLEAN UP EXERCISE, WHICH THEY ESTIMATE WILL TAKE ABOUT 30 YEARS. WE EDUCATE THE OGONI PEOPLE LIVING HERE IN THE UK OF THE GOKANA, KHANA , ELEME AND TAI LANGUAGES.
Objects: The Trustees Shall Hold The Capital And Income Of The Trust Fund Upon Trust To Apply The Income And All Or Such Other Part Or Parts Of The Capital For Or Towards Such Charitable Purpose Described Herein At Such Time Or Times And In Such Manner As The Trustees May In Their Absolute Disrection Think Fit: (A) To Relieve Poverty And Sickness By Appropriate Charitable (Whether Medical Rehabilitation Financial Or Other ) Assistance In Any Part Of The World And In Particular (But Without Prejudice To The Generality Of The Foregoing) By The Provision Of Aid To The Needy In Nigeria Of Persons Formerly Resident There. (B) To Advance The Education Of People Living In The United Kingdom And Nigeria In The Ogoni Language And Other African Minority Languages, Traditions And Cultures By The Provision Of A Saturday School. (C) To Protect And Preserve The Environment In Africa And Other Parts Of The World By The Provision Of Educational Leaflets And Projects And By Assisting With Local Conservation Projects.
