2. Revlew of the Eden Centre
The Edell Centre continu&a to be a w*used Sp￿ by tho community.
We have had numerous gpJups using the premises, at around people every w*k
taking part in actNIUes there.
We have fltness groups, soc*ties, businesses, an athc* witre, at¥J the NHS all using our
centre as a key base. The essential protocol of the centr8 is that the rnaiority of users fft our
missSonal model. So that requires two thlngs; Fir5ty, users need to fft our holistic approach to
servlng the local area- fitness, wellteng. advirE rEntres. heallhcare, etc. The oth8r aspe¢# is t
Ideally serve young famil￿$ who are our primary target audience to sweading God's love and
m8ssag8 about a bettw workl.
W8 ar8 delighted that many of our user groups have been us for several years. This has
allowed us lo build relationshlp vlth them, vthlch L% another key facet of our mission- building
strong relats'onal connectton and displaylng God's love over time and cansistenlly supporting thase
groups. Once again, we have not pul up our charges. Post covid, we wanted to support our us6rs
by absorbing the costs of inftation even though ¥￿t ha8 cauws Lt8 to redu￿ income more than wo
would have liked.
3. Revlew ot Church Life
a) Communlty
Community I￿e has flourfshed, with mary peo￿ joHIBig us over the course ofth8 year. We had
Iwo Explore ¢ouise8. all 81 full capacity. vthich meant we were thrill&1 to fourteen new
Partn8rs. The generd gifGngs of those being a(Ided were that thoy have key pastoral and t6a¢her
gifts whi¢h is fasGinating as wa kookto tecome a more holistic chur(*, (x)aL*lng and counsemlng
our 8phere8 of lnffuen￿.
Our official Partner Bst is Paghrf than It has wer been, and we praise God that H8 is setthg us up
for something Signif￿ant.
Throughout the ye8r cxintinu8d to create deepgr r>)nnedion8, faclQtated by a number of socials
- from sno%*$8tl fights, watchKu Eng18nd in the first wlnter World Cup, bbq's, bonfire nights.
ChTi5tmas quiz and meal. In August we move away from our nomi81 pattem of &Jnday meetings
and 8njoy summer socials in8te?d. This gives OUT key volunteers 8 month of rest from servHig on
Sunday momings in the usual way. We also paused ov8r Chrisknag and Nthy Year, instead
chi>osing to gath¥ for pre-recorded servitss onbne.

Our gatherings largeW ￿nSiSted of weparing us for all th8 ￿t￿mIng change8 to our fellowshl). In
partl¢ularwe *arted by lookrng at the power of unleaming", How we've knherited poor theology and

the Ek￿le￿a that we all lory to See.

regujafty ￿lfiS1ng group discusslons. None more so than during 0￿ Gr8(* s*9. A serres ￿lch
was particularty revolutionary in its approach and theology. as we looked wactically how we can
live in a world where donljudge ￿0pIe1￿st because they sln drfFerently to us. and vthat that
looks like in practice. We came to the conclusion that unless demoTh￿ or dwerou8. evwyone
should g&t to play.11 was a ¢yJliure4hthng ￿frrF￿>nth wiod for us all.
We al80 eqLtipwl over a dozen pwJ¥le in pra￿ rTwllisty vthi¢*t atlows us to release more people
and offer more people access to mintsty to se8 God move n their Iwes. This te&ching and
ulpplng has allowed us to expand.

Although our young people8. Vlt?￿ dld not gTryW, it was malrrtgin8d y￿1. as we continued our theme
of connection over content Our kids and youth leaders [￿Ided continuous lov8 and support for
our young [￿ople.

Wé Gontinue to wotk on our new constihrtion and worwng pTaclice8 do¢umenl- one that we belleve
11 be stronger than before. as wel as I￿Ing futurwroof. Thi5 has meant that the Senior
Leadership Team {SLT) undertook a ￿de review of the fellowship, paitcularty looking at the
glftings of evaryone so thatwe can not only Create somethtng that is biblicalty and legalty sound.
but also ensure that everyone gets to be part of it

We relaijnchad our Church Equry) groups, ul&'&ng a new Haverkn model where people were
UiPFd to bring the ScriFrtures to frfe as a group. rather than simKAy be taught by one indwidual or
through vld905. Ajthough thls has a big change, and diffiLwIi for some to grasp. we continue
to improve it and it has definitety put ￿ onus on peoFde not being reliant on someono else's
kn￿￿edge, but ralher equipptng them to study for ￿MSefve$.
W& also launthed a new prdyer S￿egY. New InterC￿on teams equfpped the f8mlty as a vjhole
In targeted prayer. offering greatsr breakthrough in peopkn, llv&s and extending a blesslng over
the tovm and to all who fNe and here.

4. September 2023 - August 2024
Looking ahead. we are excited to actualty Implement the wacttcal changes to the theologl¢al
breakthroughs that we have had. By ulHlslng the Just One meth(xl we alm to start seglng people
follow Jesus iegularty with the first fiulls occurring over the c£Jutse of this year. We will know If th18
is wothng, by an increase in baptisms starting to lake pta￿.
Our matn task wlll be takirvj all of our existsng famlty through a series calted Ekklesia: Findlng our
Place in the Famity.. This wll invofve many group discussions. assessments and wlll ultimately
create a lot of momentum and fvn. We hope to then 818rt filling roles in the new organlsalion chart
which W￿1[ allow us lo all equlp one another. We ara using the temi losing the difference l*tsveen
the frock and the flocv lo get our pts￿t across and hopefulty create an unprecwjented inclusion of
those In the Church famlty being invofved regukrly in actual dear roles.
Thls wll need a lol of training and attention, bul we believe it is achievable in the timè frame. IVS a
very excltlng tlme to be here.
