INDEPENDENT EXAMINERS, REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF MID CORNWALL CHRISTL4N CHURCH I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Mid CornwaJI Christian Church (the Charity) for the year ended 31 March 2025, which are set out on pages 4 - 5. This report is made solely to the CharitsRs trustees, as a body, in accordance with section 154 of the ChitIeS Act 2011. My independent examiner's work has been undertaken so that I might state to the Charitys trustees those matters l am required to state to them in independent examinefs report and for no other purpose. To the fullest extent pertnitted by law, I do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than the Charity, the Charitys members as a body and the CharItS trustees for my independent examinefs work, for this report, or for the opinions I have formed. Responsibllities and basls of report As the charity trustees of the Charity you are responsible for the preparation of the accoiints in accordance wlth the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Att,). I report in respect of my examination of the Charitfs accounts carried out under sectlon 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145 (5) (b) of the Att. Independent examlner's statement I have completed rny examination. I can confirm that no material matters have corne to my attention in connection with the examination 8iMng me cause to believe that in any materiaL respect: accounting records were not kept in respect of the Charity as required by section 130 of the Act. or 2. the accounts do not accord with those records. Mid Cornwall Christian Church is a registered charity (nullLber 1050243), constituted under Deed of Trust. The Charity is referred by its operating name of Clays Con]munity Church and also referred to as Old Pound Church. The Charity is in fellowship with the Assemblies of God In Great BrÈtain and Ireland, a Registered Charity (niimber 1032245). Object of the charity To advance Christian Religion by the prodamation and furtherance of the Gospel of God concerning His Son Jesus Christ the Lord and the preaching and teaching of the Word of God by the Church. Activities revlew The Church Council are pleased to report continiiing support for the Charity which has enabled it to continue to support Christian Nlinisters and Organisatiolls, both in this country and overseas. The Church Council have reviewed their objectives, policies and activities to ensure they continue to retlect the CILarity's aims. In carying out this review they have considered the Charity Commission's revised general guidance on public benefit. Page 2
MID CORKWALL CHRISTIAN CHURCH ANNUAL REPORT - Continued FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 IWCH 2025 Flnancial revlew A deficit of income over expenditure of £17,541.96 (2024: net payments of £20,012. 18) arose, resulting in accumulated funds at 31 M8Jch 2025 of £117,976.43 (2024: £135,518.39). An annual deficit is expected in the short to medium term since the Charity employed a full time pastor in October 2022. The Charitys main source of income arose from gifts and offerings, totalling £42,328.43 (2024: £40,328.60). The largest proportion of the expenditure continues to be spent on the support of Christian Ministers and organisations, this year totalling £49,909.30 (2024: £48,495.63). Pa ents to trustees The expenditure includes payments to those who held office as trustees during the year.. Mr A J Higgins: £30,000 salary and employer pension contributions for his services as full time pastor. £6,000 for his part-time services provided as a minister. Mr M J Parsons,, Reimbursed expenditure incurred by trLeeS for the Charity Is not listed above. Policy on reserves In determining the minimum level of reserves that should be maintained by the Chariry, the Church Council consider the following aspects; Working capital to fund the normal runnlng and rninistry costs of the Charity, Property maintenance and improvements, Income is from voluntary th which are not guaranteed, Planned expenditure and designated funds, Emergencies/contingencies, Projects/needs which will progress the objects of the Charity.
