Assemblies of God, adopted in March 2006, and is in fellowship with the Assemblies of God
church for Great Britsin.
The church is adminlstered by a Church Council comprising:

AIMS AND ORGANISATION
The objects of the Charity are:
(a) to advance the Christian faith in accordan￿ with the Ststement in such ways and in
such parts of the Unlted Kingdom or the world as the Church Coundl from time to time

(b) to relieve slckness and financlal hardshlp and to promote and preseNe good PEalth by
the provision of funds, g¢)ods or services of any kind induding through the provision of

Connecting with Jesus
Connecting wlth Jesus Is the primary purpose of Conr&t Church. Over the past year, the
church has continued to G3rry out the core functlons expected of a Christian Church, including:
Regular public worship ser4ices
Child dedications, funerals, and weddings
Special Se￿1￿ such as Rernernbran￿ Sunday, Good Fridayi Resurrection Sundayi
Christmas Day, PentecosL and termly All Age Services
We have also delivered a range of discipleship aThJ pastoral actlvtties, including:
Sunday mornlng children's and youth provision
D'scipleship programmes such as Living Fr￿ Course
Connect Groups (both in-person and digital)
Pastoral care and men's and ladies, ministy events
The Alpha Course, offen.ng people the opportunity to explore the Christian faith
Regular prayer meetings and times of worship
Annual times of prayer and fastlng
Connectlng wlth Each Other
As part of strengthening o)mmunty within the church, we have:

Held Connecting with each other social e.g. a Barn Dance at Haywood Cider Fann,

included Trevathan Fam) and Sea View Farm Shop

Connecting wth our community remains central to our purpose. Over the last year we have:
Continued Little Acorns, our wftekly parent and toddler group
Run a weekly youth drop-in for school years 6-9
Delivered assemblies and lunch dubs in local primary and secondary schools

Run Muddy Church - a half-termly creats.ve outdcK)r expression of church for thiklren and
families
Hosted ontroff outreach events including Messy Christsnas, Messy Easter, PanG3ke Day
outreach, and Christmas and Easter town traits
Our vision is that every child and young person in Wadebridge will have the opportunity to
encounter Jesus. Engagement with these acttvities continues to grow.
We have also partnered with community organisations, including partidpation In Wadebridge
Camival (entering a ￿(￿h s Ark float), supporting the WadebrKlge Foodbank camping weekend,
and other town Infitiats'ves.
Rev. Drew Cox was appointed Chaplain to the Mayor, strengthening relatlonships with the Town
Counal. This role has Included involvement in the town's 80th D-Day anniversary
commemorations, the Ctvic kni￿, and joint initiatives wlth the Town C￿nCil and local
secondary school.
STRATEGIC PIUORMES AND DEVELOPMENTS
In line with our value of Courageous FaÉth, in September 2023 the Leadershlp Team identified
four priorty areas for invthent over 24 months:

Clildren's and Youth Minlstry
Churth Planttng
We continue to priorÈtsse these areas, and have *en growth in Chlldren's and Youth Ministry,
Alpha, and Prayer. Plans to plant a new church *Nlng Indian Queens, Fraddon, St Columb
Road, and St Columb Major have been placed on hold due to Ilmited volunteer capacty.
Staffing and Leadershlp Transitions
2024 was a year of significant transition, with several staff and volunteers retiring or stepping
back from key roles. This required focused planning to ensure continuity, resulting in other
projetts temporarily pausing. A srnooth transitlon has now tsken pla￿ In these key areas of
church lrfe.
Grovrth and Capadty
Connett Church continues to grow, with people coming to faith, recommitting, and joining after
relocating to the area. Increased attendan￿ has placed additional demands on many areas of
churth lrfe e.g. governan￿, HR, building management and pastoral ore.
To address this, the Trustees and Leadership Team have:

Began work on creating a new Church Operations Manager role
Introduced Advisors to the Trustees to provKle specialist expertise
Exparmded the Pastoral Team to meet growing needs

Mission Partnerthips
In living out our value of Extravagant Love, we continue to support mission and ministy
organisations locally and globally, induding a strong partnershlp wlth Wadebridge Foodbank
and CreationFest.
Future Plannlng
A fomal revlew of the Brea￿ng Ground prioritfes Is scheduled for September 2025, with
feedback to be given to the church. In early 2026, we will launch our new GROW initiats"ve,
outlining four key priorities for January 2026 - De￿mber 2028.
PRINCIPAL FUNDING
The trustee5 have resolved to establish a reseNe to provide for future atttvltles, includlng
future building projects. We also aim to provide a reseNe of three months working capitsl. The
trustees do not have wkle powers of Investment.
Most of the church's Income is derived from the giving of the church members via the offerings
tsken at our M￿tings. Income tsx refunds are claimed via the GÉft Aid scheme. All Income Is
applied to the purpose of the trust as laid down in Its artides and instruments, model and deed.
We hereby confirm that we have fvlly complied with section 17(5) of the Charities Act 2011
requirfjng trustees to have regard to the guidan￿ published by the Charity Commission on
public benefit. The Charty does rK)t have a policy or intention to provide Grants.
The trustees regularly review risks which could have an impact on the charlty, applying
mltigating actions where necessary.

I report in respect of my examlnation of the Trust's accourbts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and In carying out my examination. I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commissic>n
under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

Cause to believe that in, any material respect:
the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130
of the Charities Act; or
