Having regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefft
the objects of the John Coldman Chantable Trust are to pay apply or
appropriate the income and the whole or a part or parts of the capital for
such purposes or object8 which are from time to time recognised as
charitable according to the law of England and Wales.
To this end. in the year ending 31. March 2022, the Trustees have made
donations to educational and charrtable organisations, in each case
providing we funding to enable them to continue their work.
In addition, Holcot Residential Centre operates as a hostel, holiday
rRntre and community ￿ntre for the use of young people and othérs.
This gives groups of young people, quite often from disadvantaged
backgrounds, the opportunity to spend time working and playing together
in a countysrde environment and at minimal cost.

The Trustees maintain various insurance covers and rely on the
underwrtiing of trust assets and activities from other resources in the
Trusl to mitigate poienlial risks. This policy is reviewed on an annual

CAF cash accounts and the freehold property known as the Holcot
Resid8ntial Centre Advic8 is obtained from time to time as and when
necessary, on the assets from Managers and other appropriate

The Trustees adopt a low risk investment strategy.
Income 1$ accumulated until used for reinvestment, distribution, or other
purposes. The Twslees fflaintain liquidrty lo enable them to make
distributions in accordance with their Grant-making policy.
The Trustees also need to retain liquidity to meet any shortfall belwe8n
income rec8Ned and liabilities incurred in relation to the running of the
Holcot Residential Centre.
There are no geographical or ethul investments constraints that fett8r
the Trustees, investment policy.

of assets and Iiabililj'es. The actual markol value of the freehold property
is £1,559,613.
