**Objects:** (1) TO RELIEVE, COMFORT AND SUPPORT PERSONS WHO HAVE SUFFERED DISABLEMENT FROM A STROKE, AND TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THE FAMILY AND CARERS OF SUCH PERSONS BY THE PROVISION OF SOCIAL AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND WITH A VIEW TO IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE (2) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF PERSONS WHO HAVE SUFFERED FROM A STROKE BY RAISING THEIR AWARENESS OF NEW IDEAS AND BRINGING TO THEIR ATTENTION ANY CHANGES IN LEGISLATION WHICH MAY OCCUR (3) TO MAKE GRANTS TO OTHER CHARITABLE ORGANISATIONS CONCERNED WITH THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS (4) TO PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE EXPERIMENTAL AND OR RESEARCH WORK THE RESULTS OF WHICH WILL BE DESSEMINATED TO THE PUBLIC

**Activities:** Twice monthly meeting with a variety of subjects:- speakers, slide shows, choirs and outings to places of interest. We help members to keep abreast of new ideas and legislation.
