Friends Oi Broadmeadow Special School Treasurer Report 1st September 2022- 31st August2023 It has been a very challenging year for Friends of 8roadmeadow. We have struggled to raise funds and prizes for the events over this year. Additionalty, it is with 9reat sadness that we report the extremely tragic, untimely death of the parent who has supported us so very generously over the past year. What has b¢¢n ochi¢v¢d so far this year? Provided a Birthday and Christmas present for every child. We managed to refurbish our sensory room as planned. Provided specif ic resources f or classes through our Broadmeadow Gif t Aid scheme includin9 Bi9 Mac switches. Le90 theropy, TacPac resources ond small mirrors for daily oral motor. Provided day trips to all the classes which were very generously paid for by Ann Jenkins. Provided additional OT equipment including trampettes and rocking chairs to diff erent classes Lots of sensory resources and ￿￿terialS were provided to various Classes. Additional swimmin9 resources were provided to motivate and extend skills. Ice cream treats were provide(i for t4p. end of the term and thp. start of the summer holidays for the chi Idren by f riends. Fundraisiry: This year our 9enerous parent donated over £120(K) prior to his untimely death. A parent kindly nominated us at her place of work and we received a generous amount of £814. Our school made the top f ive in the competition from Express tmd Star and was awarded a £lOOO. A grandparent has also donated £100 to our charity. Our Christmas Fayre(2022) and raff le raised £557.59 Collection 4 clothes raised £35. Our summer f un day has raised a total of £497.41. Our Easter Chocolate raf f le raised £197. We have received the f unds f rom Amazon total of £99. Harley Davidson bikers funded f ive Big Mac switches. As o school. we also haves raised money for other charities includin9 Jeans f or Genes day and Macmi Ilan Cancer Day. Finally.. As always. we would like to say a huge th¢Thk you to all the parents. family and friends of Broadmeadow Special School and the wider community for the on90ing SUPPOrt we receive all thrO￿h the years.
