Greenbank Community Association Annual report 2022
We are once again looking back over the last year and I think I can safely say we have done well.
People have found things a bit of a struggle getting back to normal after covid but we are slowly adjusting to living life normally.
Lunch club
The lunch club is nearly back to usual attendance. Unfortunately, some of our members have died and some cannot come because of illness. Everyone who has manage to return is extremely happy and we are really pleased to welcome them back. New members would always be welcomed into the group. Thanks to Pat Linda and Dot who work hard each week to provide such nutritious meals
Family fun is going from strength to strength, the kids love getting together and chaos reigns I am happy to say. Many thanks to Sharon Q, Sharon T, Susan Linda and of course Gillian for her ideas of how to keep the kids occupied
Playscheme
Well, here we are again at the end of yet another successful Playscheme. The weather was kind to us this year a couple of wet days but not enough to spoil the fun.
The fun day was a great success as usual Elizabeth and her crew were great. the Alpacas and goats went down a storm loved by both kids and adults alike. Every single one of the rest of the entertainers were really good not one complaint, would highly recommend each and every one of them. Jo our regular face painter as usual had a long queue all day. One cheeky chappie tried to have his done twice but it didn’t work so he barred the centre (from what) and was going to report us. (Who to?). He was back at family fun as usual.
Prize bingo is increasing in attendance every month and will soon be back up to where it was before the pandemic. It’s been great seeing everyone especially the older ones. I would like to thank both Pat and Linda for their hard work shopping for the prizes and Jenna, Jennifer, Dot, Ann and Paula for their help on the night.
Queens Jubilee
The Jubilee fun day was a fantastic success. The bouncy castles, Face painting Toffee apples, candy floss, Alpacas and goats were loved by everyone. A huge thankyou to our funders and volunteers without whose help and extremely hard work nothing would have been possible. Also, the committee who spent hours in planning and organising
so that everything went without a hitch. Everyone had a great time and it didn’t finish until nearly five o’clock.
Taekwondo
Stuart and co. are still doing well on Mondays and Thursdays.
Angel of light
