(2) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION OF THE SURGICAL STAFF WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT  BY THE PROVISION OF SEMINARS AND SURGICAL TEXTBOOKS IN THE THEATRE.

**Activities:** The Lord Taylor Housemen's and Registrars Surgical Research Prizes are very popular and keenly contested. Training is still an important  part of the Trusts objectives.
