Assists the apprentices and new Freemen of the COmpany of Watermen and Lightermen of the River Thames to train for work on the River Thames.
Objects: (1) The Education And Training Of Persons Who Are Making Or Intend To Make A Career In A Business Or Activity Which Is Now Or May In The Future Be Carried On In On Or Beside The River Thames Or Any Part Of The River Thames From Its Source To The Sea Or In Any Way Connected With Any Such Business Or Activity And (2) Without Prejudice To The Generality Of The Objects In The Foregoing Sub-Clause (1) The Promotion And Encouragement Of After School Education And Training For Persons Engaged Or Intending To Be Engaged In The Port Of London Lighterage Industry And For The Freemen And Apprentices Of The Compnay Of Waterman And Lightermen Of The River Thames And (3) Such Other Charitable Objects In Relation To The River Thames Or Any Other River In The United Kingdom As Are In The Opinion Of The Trustees Similar To Or Compatible With The Aforesaid Objects.
