SEThLE COLLEGE FUND Report for the Year 1 April 2023- 31 March 2024 The Settle Fund is govemed by a Constitution and is a registered charity number 1049037. The address is Settle College, Settle, North Yorkshire, BD24 OAU. The Charity Trustees during the year to 31 March 2022were the members of the Govemors Committee, namely Gareth Whitaker (Head Teacher) Andrea Corns Lawrence Denholm Simon Peach John Dawson Georgina Daley G Paisley R Jones R Ward The object of the fund is to advance the education of the pupils of the school by providing or assisting the provision of education, recreational and other charitable facilities in augmentation of such facilities financed by the Local Education Authority. During the year a wide range of activities were undertaken including Theatre Studies presentations, theatre visits, curriculum area visits (including a visit to Liverpool by the Art department, the annual trip to Belgium to visit sites around Ypres, a visit to Berlin and, a trip to Iceland and many varied Challenge activities. It is my responsibility to state, on the basis of procedures specified in the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners under Section 43{71(b) of the Act, whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of independent examinerfs report: My examination was carrled out In accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also Includes consideration of any unusual Items or disclosures in tho accounts. and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audlt, and consequently I do not
