End of Year Report for the 2022-2023 Academic Year, ending 31[st] August 2023
Treasurer’s Annual Report, for the financial year end 31/08/2023
We had another fantastic year organising fundraising events for the school, which in turn help to enrich the learning experienced of the pupils.
This year we raised our highest amount yet, of just over £26k (compared to £25,500 raised in previous year) This included donation from Amazon Smile of £460. Unfortunately, in February 2023, Amazon has stopped this charity scheme donating of percentage of purchased to nominated charities.
As the Amazon Smile donation comes to an end, we now have a new source of donation from TCS. The TCS Mini London Marathon invites schools to run, jog, walk, or wheel one mile or 2.6K in the heart of the capital. TCS donates £10 to the school, for every child who crosses the finish line. It was such a popular event, made more so by very limited number of tickets allocate to each school. The TCS Mini London Marathon invites schools to run, jog, walk, or wheel one mile or 2.6K in the heart of the capital.
No surprise here, our biggest fundraiser is always the joint Summer Fair which we organised along with Stanley Park Junior school next door to our school, raising around £10k on the day and over £2k from the online raffle. After the Summer fair, the next largest events where we raise the most are: Christmas Fair, online raffles and quick night at school.
Once again, we would like to reiterate this would not have been possible without the assistance and support of the hundreds of hours given by the Parents, Teachers, and Committee Members.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the whole school community, especially parents and careers for all their help and support with the events that we were able to run.
This year, even though we have raised an astonishing amount, the school has even bigger spending which they have mentioned. Hence, we are carrying forward a larger than usual surplus for next year, to be spent on sensory playground equipment and a sound system for the whole school, both earmarked at around £10k each.
This year most of the distributed funds were used by Stanley Park Infants School for the

In addition to the class fundraising events run by parents of each class, each teacher also received £100 to be spent on class equipment and stationery.
At the end of the year, as at 31[st] August 2023, the bank balance was showing £24k and the total reserves carried forward for next year was £18k. Although this is higher than usual, we believe most of this fund will be spent next year on a sound system and sensory equipment.
