The object of the fund is to advance the education of the pupils of the school by providing or assisting the provision of education, recreational and other charitable facilities in augmentation of such facilities financed by the Local Education Authority.

In looking at the overall aims and the objectives of the Charity, the Trustees have had due regard to the guidance published by the Charities Commission on public benefit requirements.

During the year the main activities of the general fund grew from the previous year and fundraising for the Minibus Appeal was school’s main project. The Mini Enterprise fund has grown over the past year, one of the main contributions from Happy Café, a 6[th] form led enterprise scheme which invites the Dales community to a coffee afternoon in school once a week. Baked goods are made and sold with refreshments. School have used funds from the general donations to fund items such as outdoor equipment. General donations were received from the use of the school carpark or bank interest.

The overall position of the School Fund remains favourable for the upcoming year. We are making connections with local community as they hear more about our Minibus appeal. As word spreads we hope to raise even more funds for the Minibus Appeal, although we have sufficient fund for the vehicle itself, the running costs and insurance/maintenance of the bus will still need to be funded.

Governors are responsible for the preparation of the accounts under The Charities Act 2011 following guidance for accounting for small charities issued by the Charity Commission.

The attached accounts were approved by Governors on 4.12.24
