## **Accounts for the year ended 31[st] December 2023**

Overall, there was a deficit of income over expenditure for 2023 of £19,479.

The charitable donations this year amounted to £46,098, all for repair work at All Saints.

Proceeds from fundraising were up only slightly from the previous year; from £2771 in 2022 to £2,856 in 2023. Our fundraising events in 2023 were the Big Curry Lunch in February, Heritage Day refreshments in September, the Quiz Night in October and the Winter Warmer talk in December. The Friends also had a mulled wine and mince pie stall at the Festival of Christmas on the KGV field.

Subscriptions for 2023 amounted to £2,037 while donations in response to the appeal for All Saints came to £17,535. Consequently, the HMRC Gift Aid refund amounted to £4,243, compared to £510 in 2022.

Interest payments from the CCLA amounted to £84. £16,464 was transferred from this account in February to the Lloyds account to help fund the All Saints works.

At the end of the year, cash on deposit and in the bank stood at £19,167.

Within our overall account, there are three subsidiary funds;

• A general, unrestricted fund into which the proceeds from fundraising events and all subscriptions and donations (apart from bequests and donations over £100 and specified for one or other of the churches) are paid. This currently stands at £18,143, up from £14,493 in 2022.

• A fund restricted for the benefit of All Saints Church. This started the year at £23,523, comprising £7,057 in the Lloyds account plus £16,466 in the CCLA account. Over the course of 2023, £46,098 was spent on the repair work at All Saints, taken from both the restricted fund and the unrestricted fund. By the end of 2023, the All Saints restricted fund stood at £394.
