Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of Pontardulais Town Band
We report on the attached accounts of the Trust for the year ended 31st March 2025
Respective responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner
The Charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The Charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under Section 145 (1) of the Charities Act 2011, and that an independent examination is needed.
It is our responsibility to:
-
examine the accounts under section 145 of the 1993 Act
-
follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145 (1) of the Act)
-
state whether any specific matters have come to my attention
Basis of the Independent Examiner's Report
The examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. The examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity, along with a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual details or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would necessarily be required in a full audit. Consequently, we do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
Independent Examiner's Statement
During our examination, no matters have come to our attention:
-
(1) which gives us reasonable cause to believe that — in any material respect - the trustees have not met the requirements to ensure that:
-
® proper accounting records have been kept (in accordance with section 145 of the 2011 Act)
-
e the prepared accounts agree with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the Act
-
(2) to which, in our opinion. attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
