**Objects:** The objects of the Charity are for the protection and preservation of health and the relief of sickness of persons suffering from diseases and disorders of the heart and lungs and the advancement of education (including by promoting or assisting in the promotion of research and investigation) in the causes and treatment of such diseases and disorders, by the provision of grants, facilities, equipment and premises and such other assistance as the Trustees shall determine.

**Activities:** The Charity aims to reduce pain, suffering and premature death caused by heart, lung and cardiovascular disease and disorders.  The Charity's beneficiary is National Heart and Lung Institute, Faculty of Medicine, Imperial College London, delivering world leading improvements in clinical care, education and research activities. Special areas of interest include COPD and heart failure.
