In association with the Heart of Gissing Trust (Charity no.1118587), promotion of the education of persons under 25 who, or whose parents, are resident in Gissing (including possible grant scheme). General charitable purposes for the benefit of the inhabitants of Gissing
Objects: (1) (I) In Promoting The Education (Including Social And Physical Training) Of Persons Under The Age Of 25 Years Who,or Whose Parents , Are Resident In Gissing, Who Are In Need Of Financial Assistance And In Particular But Without Prejudice To The Generality Of The Foregoing- (A) In Awarding To Such Persons Scholarships, Exibitions,bursaries,maintenance Allowances Or Grants Tenable At Any School,university,college Of Education, Or Other Institution Of Further Or Higher ( Including Professional And Technical) Education Approved For The Purpose By The Trustee; (B) In Providing Financial Assistance,outfits,clothing Tools Instruments Or Books To Assist Such Persons To Pursue Their Education ( Including The Study Of Music And Other Arts) To Undertake Travel In Furtherance Thereof,or To Prepare For Or Enter A Profession, Trade Or Service On Leaving School, University, Or Other Educational Establishment. (Ii) Within The Limits Prescribed By This Scheme The Trustee Shall Have Full Power To Make Rules For The Award Of Scholarships, Exhibitions, Bursaries,maintenance Allowances And Other Benefit Including Rules As To The Value And Period Of Tenure Of The Awards And The Qualifications Method Of Ascertainment And Selection Of Candidates For Benefit. (Iii) The Trustee Shall Have Regard To The Desirability Of Consulting The Local Education Authority As To Its General Action Under Sub-Clause(1) Of This Clause And ,If Occasion Requires, As To The Educational Qualifications Of Candidates For Benefit. (2) For General Charitable Purposes For The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of Gissing
