The aims and obj'ects of the charity are to develop at a local level 5kllls and nurturlng capacty of famlllesi pa￿ nts
and carers so that the well-being arKI life Cha￿eS of thelr chlldrs) are enhanced.

The publlc benefit through havlng a *rVI￿ that provldes famllies wlth chIld￿n aged 04 years {￿11 school
holldays) wlth free access to a wlde variety of play attivitles, f￿ ac￿edtsd tralnlng/courses on parenting skllls,
free trlps and outlngs. and an 0pe￿.-d￿)r kX)licy promotIr￿ equal Opportun￿leS for all famllles. The ￿ntre a150
woths closdy with other Ilke-minded organisations and are able, ttrErefore, to sign-p)st families in need to other

Carmarthen Famlfy Centre Is a reglstered charlty based in trm) areas of Carmarthen - In Camiarthen Town South,
Tr Ni Op￿ed Its door5 In 1995 and In Camarthen Town North, Tr Hapus In Park Hall opened In 2004. The
centres 0￿rate Indepermlently of Plant Dewl as a charity.
The Ty Hapus slte has b￿n corsistent In Its prryAslon over the year as a famlly centre. Tr Nl was retumed to the
lool aUth￿lty in November 2023.
With a team staff, a Centre Manager arKI one Play Worker who have worked for trE organlsatlon for
nurnber of years, we have been able to faalltate the actlvltles, wlth a vOlunt￿r suppwtlng the ￿ntre. All worf(Ing

The prlorfty of the ￿ntreS Is to engage local famllle5 and provlde professional supporL Worklng dosely with
nurserles and schools, consultlng wlth professlonals, and regularly updatlng our social medla page to engage wlth

services. Clwb Cwtsh held a slx-week Welsh language course at the centre and Foothold Cymru provlded 4 x
Nutritlon workshops.
Weekly Multiply Mèths sE55ions for part of the ￿ar and employment support wlth comrnunitfes. for work
sessions.
2 x coach trlps to Pemlxey County Park and Burry Port Beath and ParK othpJ half-trxm fun events such as, A
water play dayi trlps to the park for ball games and plcnlcs, R£Sen￿1r walks and bug hunts and teddy bears picnlc
wlth storles and crats.
We held several sessions throu8hout the year to celebrate national and intematlonal days such as, 5t
Davld's day and Chlnese New Year, Remembrance Day and St Dwynwen's day. We provided variou5 fun
.activtty and crdftse55iDns to Celèbrate Easter, held a Prince55 and SupErhero summèr paty with PS Parties
entertainment, and a Chrlstmas party at Camarthen Leisure centre soft play.

both Indoors and outdoors, to enhance all areas of children's development.

Q)mmlsslon. The greatest area of rtsk to the effectIver￿sS of the char5ty is loss of grantl contract fundlng. In ttr
event of such a loss the trust￿ wish to ￿ able to maintsln services for at least 3 months to enable other
50urce5 of fundirvJ to be *cured or to make changes to existlng seD/ice5. The trustees the￿fOre feel that
reserves should normally be approxlmate to 3 - 6 months nmnlng costs. This eqyatss to approxlmately £13,082-
