The Charity is governed by the Trust Deed dated 16 June 1995. In accordance with the Taunton Round Table's rules all the Trustees retire at the Annual General Meeting and new Trustees will be appointed for the forthcoming year. Objects The charitable objects of the Charity are to pay or apply income raised for such charitable purpose or purposes according to the laws of England and Wales in the United Kingdom, and to, or for the benefit. of such, one or more charitable bodies, trusts, association5, institutions or organisations established for charitoble purposes as aforesaid, and in such shares and in such manner as the club in ordinary meeting shall in its absolute discretion determine or selert. Re¥l•w of •rtlvltles During the year the Charity ralsed an amount of £29.315 net of fundraising costs12023 - £20,502). These funds were utilised to make donations of £14,390 {2023 £13.3401 and to fund £6,397 of projects for our community12023- £4.7051. This ar a surplus of £8.096 has been made12023- a surplus of £2.3821. after bank charges and bank interest received. The carried forward reserves have increased to £27.613 at 31 March 2024. from £19.517 at 31 March 2023. In planning the donations for the year the trustees gave regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit. During the yearto 31 March 2024 the donations made by the charity have benefited wide section of the public by providing organisations Wlth vital fundin8 Wlth which to further their own charitable artivities. Reserves policy The aim of the Charity is to expend funds raised in line with its objects and therefore the level of reserves held should be minimal and dependent on the timing of the charitable expenditure. Acc<buntlni ¢onventlon The financlal statements have been prepared in accordance with Accounting and Reporting by Charlties: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their 4ccounts in accordance with the Financial ReF)Orting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 (effective l January 20221- (Charities SORP IFRS 10211 and the ChaTlties Act 1993. Taunton Round Table Charitable Trust Fund meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS 102. Assets and liabilities are initially recognised at historical cost. 1.2. Goin8 concern There is no doubt on the chariVs ability to continue and there are no material uncertaintie5 about the charity's ability to continue. Therefore, these accounts have been prepared on the going concern basis. 1.3. Incoming resourtes These are recognised on the Statement of Financial Artivities {SOFAI when the Charity becomes entitled to the income. the trustees are virtually certain they will receive the income, and the monetary value can be measured with sufficient reliability. 1.4. Donations and investment incorne Donations and investment income are only included in the SOFA when the Charity has the unconditional entitlement to the resources. IS.
