Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the Charity Commission's general guidance

Summary of the maln activities undertaken for the public benefit
During the reporting period, the school has undertaken a range of successful
fundraising activities designed to support enrichment opportunities and enhance the
educational experience of pupils. These activities have been well supported by pupils,
families, staff and the wider school community.
Regular after-school clubs have continued to play an important role, offering pupils
additional opportunities in areas such as sport, arts and enrichment activities, while
also generating modest but consistent income. These clubs have been popular and
well attended, reflecting strong engagement from families.
Community-led events have also contributed significantly to fundraising efforts. Bake
sales held throughout the year, often linked to themed days or seasonal events, have
been particularly successful, encouraging pupil participation and fostering a sense of
community. School discos, organised for different year groups, have been well
received and have provided both an enjoyable social experience for pupils and a
valuable source of fundraising income.

Holgate Primary & Nursery School Fund
In addition, smaller events and initiatives, including non-unifonn days and sponsored
activities, have complemented Ihese larger events and helped to maintain steady
fundraising throughout the year.
Overall, these aGlivities have not only raised important funds bul have also
strengthened community involvement and supported the school's wider objectives of
inclusion, enrichment and pupil wellbeing.
Summary of the main achievements during the period
Funds raised through school fundraising activities are intended to be used to directly
support the academic enrichment and wider educational development of pupils. A key
priority is the subsidisation of school trips and educational visits, ensuring that all pupils
are able to participate regardless of financial circumstances. These visits play an
important role in bringing learning to life, supporting curriculum delivery and broadening
pupils. cultural and experiential understanding.
Fundraising income also enables the purchase of high-value resources and equipment
that would otherwise be difficult to fund through core budgets alone. This includes
curriGulum-enhancing items such as specialist learning resources, technology, sports
equipment and materials to support creative subjects. These investments help improve
the quality of teaching and learning and provide pupils with access to a broader range
of educational opportunities.
In addition, funds are allocated to support enjoyable enrichment activities within school,
such as workshops, themed learning days and reward events. These activities promote
engagement, motivation and wellbeing, while reinforcing leaming in a positive and
inclusive environment.
Overall, the use of fundraising income is carefully planned to ensure it has a
meaningful and lasting impact on pupils, academic progress, enrichment opportunities
and overall school experience.
