Annual Report for the year to 5[th] April 2023
The Mesopotamian League is registered with the charity commissioners (No 1047435) and constituted by Deed of Trust.
The charity is administrated by management committee, comprising
Chairman - Dr Mohammed Jawad Ali Secretary & Treasurer - Dr Jalal Jafar Other members - Lamya Mohammed
The Object of the charity is the advancement of education and relief of poverty and hunger among needy human communities in any part of the world. The charity depends on continuing help of the volunteers mainly from Iraqi community in Britain and relief areas.
In addition to its typical nature of work in supporting the needy , the charity during this financial year involved in the following :.

1- Continuing to raise funds to support orphans and widows in Iraq on regular basis. The number of orphans currently supported by this project exceeded 600 orphans.

2- Our organisation provided a hundred of needy families with emergency supplies including blankets ,clothes , food items, baby milk, medicine, and medical aids .

3- Support was provided to local community activities and needs like Community Saturday School and youth activities.

4- Mesopotamian league also distributed school bags , stationary , sports outfits and trainers to 500 poor children enrolled in education so that they could participate in their studies.
The charity is still aiming to improve on its administration and widening its activities.
